Thread: Crafting Apron(clothing) stats work for Armorsmith too???
Tailors don't need the experimentation bonus, but the assembly bonus does help us against crit fails. So it's not entirely useless, just mostly useless.
I'd be willing to bet most tailors would agree with me that instead of a version of the apron for tailoring we'd rather have gotten some of our bugs fixed or some of our wishlist items worked on, but I'm guessing that tailor is the lowest priority of the crafting professions. And since crafting seems to take a backseat to combat we're not in much of a position to complain about any little additions we get.

Just curious if the Crafters Apron for clothing gives bonus's if a Armorsmith wore it? And what does a Tailor need bonus's for in making clothes?? Clothes dont have stats???
Well, the clothing experimentation bonus is useless and I can't believe they actually put that in the apron. Its almost like each development team is on opposite sides for the world and they can only communicate using smoke signals. The tailor experimentation bonus is nice, though. I have found that working with BE enhanced tissues can be difficult sometimes and I get more critical failures than I should.
What frustrates me most is, that i now have 4 or 5 of those clothing crafters apron schematics. All schematics i bought on the trade boards were of this kind. There is no way i can tell before i buy. Now i know why they sold it....
I call it scamming!
I dont want to scam others so i save them hoping they become useful in the future, but i bought them for 100k-200k. Thats a lot of Hot Pants i need to sell before i'm over that loss (give or take 1 mil by now)
Dev's please make it an armorssmithchematic or something more useful.

It can't be scamming by the people selling the aprons because they know as much about them as you do. Anyway I am not sure of what they are thinking with the tailor crafter's apron. Tailor assembly is nice, so I made one for myself but the rest are unsellable.

It can be.
People's ingame names often only is visible to me, when they offered the item to my vendor. I just buy it without doing research. Which i did later on, and all but one of them were tailors themself. That's what i call scamming. Eventhough i made the 'mistake'. I just tend to trust people. They know it's useless to me as well.

Since wearing the tailor apron, which I had to BUY (I have only found chef and medic aprons so far), I have not noticed a difference in my crit fail rate.
I don't have any numbers because I haven't wanted to go back to not using my outfit with the bonuses. But I put together a +18 clothing assembly outfit (including the apron and several good skill tapes) and am crit failing much less. I don't know if the +5 to assembly would be enough for there to be a big, noticable difference, but I am seeing a difference with my +18.
