I post this here because Ihave never seen a guide for it, I had a request for something similar recently and needed to learn how to do this. And the tapestries are the perfect item for this function...

I have been getting creative withthose tatooine tapestries... See I have been around since launch and did not realize there was a copy/paste function in the game, let alone the notepad *gasp*... But, after asking around as to how people we renaming items vertically I learned how to do it. And if any of you are like me and don't know this little trick, I hope this helps!

First thing you need to do is bind some keys to be able to use the copy and paste functions.

Go to options>controls>keymap>chat highlight the "chat copy" and press the rebind button, there you choose keys to be your copy function (I use ctrl+shft+C). Then repeat the process for "chat paste"(I use ctrl+shft+P). Do not rebind keys that already have a function, unless you are absolutely sure you want to over write this.

Now open your notepad (command /note) and you can type virtually anything you wish... example:

Now, you highlight this text in notepad and "copy" it using the keys you have set for said function.

Next, begin your crafting session go through the process until you get to the customization stage (naming/coloring) and delete the default name. Making sure your cursor is still ready in the naming area, use your "paste" function and you should see the last line of the text you had written in notepad. Complete the crafting process.

When the finished product is out and on display, it should carry the entire text you wanted on the item. Makes the tapestries so much better! And more personal as well. This is also great for informitive decorations.
