Thread: Special protection for artisans please

Everytime I step out of my door I get killed. The sight of a Chuba terrifies me !

I think my bubble car should provide extra protection but the shifty little creatures have figures out how to open the door =(


how about some sort of special armor, extra run speed, a artisan only pet oranythingto help protect us non-combat people ?

Ive been knocked out my vehical and db'd just riding up to my house before now. Not to mention the amount of times ive had to bring my alt to kill everything outside my house just so I can step out the door lol


Some sort of protection would be nice, higher level players dont get agroed by low level creatures but poor crafters get agroed by everything red and dont stand a chance.

Probably not much consolation, but you could consider moving to a player city. One where you can also place your factories. At least that could remove some of the stress.

Camo kits can now be used by anyone.

My advice is to get a crate of these kits for your planet (for me i have a ton of tatooine kits)

They have helped my survivability a great deal since the CU.


Im not sure if they work on npc's or not, but ive never had problems with these at my shop/factories location, its just them darn Squills and Scyksfor me :/

Living in the wild, being a artisan should be dangerous.


You may join a player city, inside it's borders creatures don't spawn.



I live en Lok, and sometimes a Kimogila eats me, and my swoop, for dinner. There's some risk asociated to live in such dangerous planet. Now visiting my harvestors is exciting, I must be carefull, use camo kits and be alert.


Please devs don't change it.

Cammo kits and droids. As of publish 18, anyone can own a droid that will fight at level 30, so this should offer some pretty great protection (not to mention offensive firepower) against the standard stuff.


You can even get a level 30 droid that has a crafting station and item storage in it. Pretty great.

I don't know about creature lairs not spawning in player cities. I got off a shuttle the other day, and there was a lair of sludge panthers about 40m away from the shuttleport. If I hadn't used the respec to drop droid engineer and pick up TKM, I would have been in trouble. It's less likely for lairs to spawn, but they still do.

Also, you can get a combat droid with crafting modules, but I'm not sure you'd be able to get it to CL30. Your best bet would be to have one bodyguard droid, and one crafting droid.
