Thread: Going Broke...
I can give you some crates of BE tissues to work with when we get this bug fixed. I've added you to my friends list and we can meet up in game at some point to sort out the trade.
I don't think the devs will ever understand how painful this bug is to the tailoring community.
I sympathize with your situation. I believe that if I were in your shoes what I'd do is open a CSR ticket and explain your predicament to them. This does two things. It gives you a chance to get re-imbersed (which may or may not happen) and it also puts pressure on the CSR's, lets them know how serious this problem is, which in its own way may increase the chance of this thing getting fixed promptly. I'd also contact the BE whom you purchased your tissues from and also explain the predicament to the BE, not requesting a refund, but just making sure he/she understands whathappened and perhaps something can be worked out such that he/she can keep you as a customer.
One thing though... if you were scraping together funds to buy tissues, and you chose bio-sensors, you probably made a questionable decision because:
1) medical augmentation is broken, and even if it was working it's next to useless
2) cure effeciency may or may not work, but even if it does it is of limited usefulness
3) the above two mods are only usable by doctors (not cms, not medics) so there is a very limited appeal to them.
If you haven't already, I'd highly recommend you pick up the terrain negotiation tissue, the heal effeciency tissue, and the mask scent tissue, as those at least work (well, before pub 18 anyway)and are useful

HIya All,
I am not really a new tailor, been one since I started the game 2 years ago, but I didn't really start persuing the career untill recently. I found that starting my new business has cost a lot of credits and as I have just (as of yesterday) registered my vendors on the planetary search was hoping to make it back but... I took almost all the money I had and invested in some BE tissues. I did this knowing that I would be able to make a fair profit and finally not be making it by the skin of my teeth. I sat patiently yesterday at my factories and watched as my investment was made into SYC and RFP and sat down last night to start crafting. I made 2 doctors dresses before I realized that the all the money I had used was wasted. I immediatly jumped on the forums, which I often read but am too shy to participate in, and read that others were having the same issues. Now I am not saying that I am going to quit the game, althoughI am a little upset, but my husband has been trying to get me to respec to combat. What do I tell him when I have nothing to defend our business except say, "Hey Hunny Can I BORROW someMORE money?"
Thanks for listening

I feel for you. I started my factory the night before the publish. I was horrified when I came on to see what had happened. I thought my investment would be lost too. Fortunately in my case mine items finished before they took the servers down for the publish Update.
I would make a ticket for your character. Explain the problem to a CSR. I know their's not much hope but they really should compensate you.
Has anyone tested to see if a "empty" item is still giving the effects even if it's not displaying it, or is the display completely tied to the effect?
I wouldn't worry about it, wouldn't quit and would hold on to anything you've made. I'm sure it'll be fixed and you'll forget all aboutt his like I'd forgotten the year of waiting for Necklaces to work right, than break, then get fixed, but not really, than fixed without a patch note, than broken, then finally fixed.. for good?
Well, since half of them weren't giving the effects that they were displaying before this patch, I'm guessing they certainly aren't giving the effects they are not displaying after the patch, lol. But seriously, even if they were, it would do us no good. Could you imagine the chaos?
"This shirt is kinda pricy isn't it? With no mods?"
"Well that shirt gives +25 melee/ranged defense... *wink*... no, it really does, it just doesn't show it"
"what about these pants, they don't show any mod either?"
"umm... you're a pvper right?... these pants give +25 knockdown defense... yea, that's the ticket... and you can have them for the low low price of 1mil credits"

Man I feel for the OP. With the latest publish my Tailor /Armorsmith has been almost unuseable -and she has two combat toons to support!!!!
These publishes are about as helpful as hurricanes, so I propose a new character class The FEMAs. They would spring into action after a publish and help crippled professions get back on thier feet by arranging low-cost credit loans fromSOE and placing small generic houses up to take in damaged products for a % of list price.
You think I'm kidding don't you.

LOL it'sSOE, even if they introduced a Master FEMA prof we'd be told we should have had Crated Color Crash or BE Tissue Effectiveness insurance and didn't. ![]()
They'd apologize for the inconvenience, though. ![]()
