Thread: Another tailor tissue and loot clothing item down the drain
While I appreciate the entertainer professions do need work doing to them, it would be nice to be informed when that work effects us too! Will we be compensated for our crates of myoflex tissues? Our exquisite leotards? The CCTs we've collected to make them?
Oh, what's the use? As much as I love being a tailor this week has made me very cranky and annoyed (and I'm sure I'm not the only one!)

They evidently will be converting some mods. From this thread:
The Wound Healing line will be used for current and any future inspirations. Wound healing skill mods will be renamed and replaced with enhancement skill mods. Ditto for Dancers. It's unclear what the plan is for the current Mind Enhancement skill mods, but we'll seek further information
stuff like this causes me to start to believe the vile rumors that SOE wants to do away with crafting as an interesting and enjoyable profession, not to mention useful for the rest of the gamers beyond looking good.
Between the broken and borked items we currently are dealing with, to the intensely limited options for bio-enhanced items in the first place... well.. /sigh
If they really wanted to give tailor some oomph... bio mods would be added in the clothing crafting process, not the components. Would be nice to add ONE tissue to say... a low cut top... would keep costs reasonable and give the players a LOT more options to have modded items. just a thought.
I still have hope they will correct this bug ASAP

I made master tailor well before the CU came into effect. Once the CU hit us and they changed the armor rules I said to myself, "self, hey here is a good opportunity for us tailors to work with BE items and create fashions that were both flattering and functional!
and it was starting to work, I spent time developing relationships with BE's, scoured the planatary bazaar search for BE tissues by the crate finding the best prices. I was able to start filling orders for current customers and then for new customers just sending me a tell! All was great in the Post CU SWG world I even bought a bigger house to store my "stuff" ![]()
Then came pub 18........NERF! goes the BE (I am loosing 100K a week easily...so much for becoming a millionaire :smileysad
Again I said to myself (I talk to myself alot), "Self, they will fix it why don't you focus on your other career path as a smuggler........and keep your eyes open for other opportunities to make unique items that could verywell compensate your lost funds with the be issue" it is then that I learned of all these draft schematics and what they are going for on the market!
So I dropped a good chunk of change buing schematics and the necessary resources...... NERF! guess this is going down the tubes as well.............. ![]()
I have never once thought about giving up the profession until now
but.......... I will hang onto my tolken respec for now (I always liked the idea of being a goodlooking twi' with big guns hunting down scum and criminals *day dream*)
Like they say... hey you never know ![]()
This is actually the thing that bothers me the most about the state of tailor right now. What you say here below is exactly what everyone that plays this game wants. We want to be functional, we want to be individuals and want to be able to have unique looks. And clearly the devs want this as well. Why else would they create hundreds of different items of clothing and devote two separate professions to do nothing more than customize people's appearance. But they totally undermined all of that by the silly bio-clothing implementation, and they made it much worse after the CU by removing all useful tissues from synthetic cloth. I've tried and tried and tried to get them to realize that, but they just don't "get it".
There is absolutely no balance issue here. None. It is not any more balanced to allow someone to attain the bio bonuses that they want by wearing paramilitary cammos, a formfitting undershirt, a spec-ops duster, and a bandolier, then it would be to allow the exact same bonuses wearing a muscle shirt, comfortable slacks, a rugged jacket, and a backpack right? In both cases they would have the exact same bonuses. The only difference is thatin the first case the person "sold out" to look like a dweeb, and in the second case someone actually put some thought into their appearance and made a conscious decision to look that way. UGH!
... but I digress, this doesn't actually have much of anything to do with the topic of this particular thread.

Why all the negativity? I thought it was good news that they were going to convert our entertainer tissues and Dancer's Leotards to something that's actually somewhat useful. Guess I was wrong. ![]()

Potentially it could be good. It could be very good. But I guess it really depends on whether you believe the current stuff will in fact be dillegently converted (*bursts out in hysterical laughter*).
Remember, the current mods on the leotard still have not been converted, and most of the stuff they tried to convert from last timeare still broken.
Anyone want to wager against brokenmyoflex and a useless loot quest schematic?

I know, that's why I said what I did. The devs said they are going to convert them.
