The suit shirt appears with a tie when equipped by males.
For my wedding, I made myself (female) an Intricate Dress in purple (now purple was the theme, so you may want to use a different color) and the groom got a Dress Shirt (mostly white, but purple tie), and Comfortable Slacks (black). You can wear a Dress Jacket, but then you won't be able to see the shirt.

A black gunman's duster looks great with the suit shirt too, gives it a tuxedo with tails look

Yep, I normally give the choice of a Gunman's Duster or Pilot's Jacket to go with the Suit Shirt, Comfortable Slacks, Dress Shoes combo.

Rugged Jacket and Ribbed Pants also work very well with the Suit Shirt for a formal look. Just make the inset the same color as the body.

For the groom:
pilot's jacket - black
suit shirt - pure white with black trim
comfortable slacks - black
dress shoes - black (the default colour)
link-steel reinforced gloves - black
For the bride:
intricate dress - pure white OR cream/ivory colour
dress slippers - same colour as dress
