I'm sure this has been asked before but search isn't working and I have a customer waiting. I need to make an 25 Imperial Uniforms in black using the Long Formal Jacket. It was requested that I use the Dress Slacks to go with it, but the blacks don't match. I tried the Comfortable Slacks and they don't look great either. I even tried going down to the next lighter black in the jacket...still way darker than the pants.

Have any of you made an Imperial Uniform? And what did you use to make the blacks match?

Thanks in Advance.

(And why can't we have the same pallette for everything?! Even if some items are not available in every color, the colors they are available in should match....no?)

The reason they don't match is that the fabrics are used in each, and different fabrics' colours are different.

For example, a black leather jacket and a black cotton shirt, even though both are black, look different - the textures are different, and hence the colour is different.

Your customer needs to be told that this is the reason the blacks are different, and that this is the way the uniforms would look in "real life" also.

The problem you are having is not due to fabrics, but due to the fact the Long Formal Jacket has a unique color pallette.

Honestly the matching 'black' set would look more grey then black, though it still does look good {better the mismatched}

I think the fifth color from end {it is a light black} of the Jacket palletteis what matches a full color pallette black.

If you just can't get it, PM me, I will log in and craft a set to relate which matches for you.

I'm going to give it a try with the quilted pants as I spoke to my client and he has a matching uniform which uses them. Thanks for your replies and Ani thank you for your gracious offer. I'll definitely pm you if I am having trouble.
