Greetings fellow Tailors,
I am a Novice tailor who is about to reach the fourth box in fieldwear.

Since I am about to begin a new column, I was wondering if it was a better choice to get the new colors via the experimentation line or to get new items to craft whether it be casual or formal wear.

Money is not really a problem at this point. I am just wondering if you think the new colors are worth delaying new schematics. Please share your thoughts...

In my own VERY humble opinion, I think you ought to get new schematics first. The really bright, beautiful colors all seem to be at the master level, more or less. There are some decent blues and greens sprinkled in the experimentation line, but to me, their value was not as great as the value of more schematics, especially when 99% of the time, you will be asked to make the schematic in question in... black.

I worked up to Tailoring 2 after I hit Formal 4, then started working on getting new schematics again. There is a nice blue and green at the level. I just got tired of the same old colors. Of course, Thyla is right about everyone wanting black! I guess it just depends on your personal preference.

If I had it to do over, I'd probably pick Casual or Field and start alternating boxes. E.g., Casual I, then Tailoring I, then Casual II, then Tailoring II, up to Tailoring III.

Tailoring II and III are the real "money boxes" IMO, with decent red, green, and blue colors, while I and IV have pretty mediocre color additions.
