If this has been answered already jsut point me to the correct location. Looking at yall forum I really didnt wat to go through several pages of posts looing and the search engine didnt seem to help too much.

I have a duster, pants, hat, boots and belt with skill mods on it. Most of the skills I have been looking at are med use andmed crafting but I would think this goes for all of my skill mod clothing. When I log inwearing my clothesand remove them to puton my armour the skill mods seem to give me a neg result to my skills.ex: My med use is a 50 whenI put on my armour my med use is displayed as 50/22. If I log in to the game wearing my armour and put my clothes on then the skillsmods seem to be applied correctly showing a 50/72(not looking at my toon so these numbers are not exact but close). If I log out weating myarmour with my skils show as 50/22 and relog in my skills shows as a 50/22, seems that it takes a while for your toon to fully log out in order to refresh those skill settings.

I did play with those numbers a bit and found that even if I have a 50/22 skill I can still use a stem d with a 41 med usage. This wouldleadme to believe that eh skill mods either work and are not displayed correctly or that they do not work and that the skills are still not displayed correctly.I have not had the chance to test if my adjustedmed use of a 50/72 will allow me to use a 51 - 72 med use item as of yet, havent found something to test it on.

Is this stuff working and just not displaying correctly? It would seem to to be hurting but then again you never know. I am currently a MCMthinking on picking up Doc and was wondering what the state of these skills mods were. thx

I don't know anything other than what I've heard, that all clothing enhancements are bugged atm. Even if there are some that actually work, I do not trust it right now. I have heard rumors that bio-enhanced cloths and/or skill tapes for slots can even cause permanent stat loss. I don't know if there is any truth to these rumors, but until I see patch notes where it's fixed, I advise all my clients to wait until the patch before buying or wearing any enhanced clothing peices.

These items are bugged atm and it seems while most BE's are well aware of this, most of the player base looking for enhancements, are not. I cannot tell you how many times I have had a new customer insist that I make clothing with a skill mod or they would go somewhere else. I use to make the items with fair warning to the customer, now I refuse to make them at all. At least I ususally get a /tell back with an apology, once they've lost 50sp with a "what do I do now." /shrug. If you experience this problem, it is becuase you have logged off or gone LD with your stat wear on. The only way to fix the problem is to be logged off for quite sometime so your character can reset. The biggest problem is that yes, some of these cause permanent damage, I just do not know which ones.

I also will no longer make any clothing with skill mods until I see the big - Skill loss due to clothing mods, has been fixed.

Good Luck and hope this helps.

No actual damage is done. It's just a modifier to the skill display, not to the skill. It should be fixed next patch, so don't sweat it.

When those fixes go in, bio-engineer component prices will go up, so the time to buy is NOW!
