I used to be a tailor back when I was Nataku Valentine a little whole before I switched characters. I'm not "Millions Valentine" on Gorath, and well.. the tailoring bug bit me again. So here I am at Novice Tailor... wondering what to grind for experience... anyone? Help a poor Rodian out!

Ribbed shirts are good, I like link steel gloves presently. Good exp for what it is - make them when you can.

Yep. Omen has it down perfect. You can also macro your grinding to take a bit of the edge off. Your apology for being a 'noob' is cute. To my best recollection, I didn't enter the game as a Tailor either. Anyhoo.... there is tons of information here that will help you out!! Try doing a search of the forum for the macro info. I don't have in memory but I know for a fact it's in here.

Welcome and good luck!! If you are going to grind can I just make one suggestion..... With every box that you acquire, take the time to make one of everything in that new box or study the itmes and palets with out crafting them. Either way the goal is to make sure you do not lose out on the knowledge you would have gained had you not grinded but worked through you xp tree. It's just a suggestion but it has been invaluable to me. No customer likes to be told that something can be made in a specific color only to find out it cannot and you do not know you color palets. They tend not to come back after that. Oh, and it is a wonderful break from just grinding to make all of you new clothes... it just makes you feel accomplished.

Again, good luck!!

I liked getting to casual 3 and formal 1 first via ribbed shirts. I used cloaks to grind (Sold a lot of what i was grinding thus making a profit instead of losing out) Then you have cloaks, hot pants, bustiers, fancy shoes and several nice skirts to sell and a very nice grindable that you will probably never stop being able to sell. Everyone likes cloaks... black cloaks... (yuk)

There's two belts that are good for grinding too, I think they're from field wear 4... not sure tho can't remember. Anyways they take either 50inertpetrochem+60steel, or 50inertpetrochem+60iron, so decent xp if you use them to grind.

I think it's the grenadier belt and... heh can't remember the other either.

If you only want to grind, the conventional wisdom is:

Ribbed Shirts til you get Field Wear 2.

At Field Wear 2, some people like to switch to Link-Steel Reinforced Gloves. They are more efficient in terms of XP per item, but less efficient in terms of 'clicks per item', since they require 4 double-clicks (4 different resource slots, 1 metal, 3 inert petro).

At Field Wear 4, switch to Cartridge Belts. Make Cartridge Belts til you reach Master.
