Im really new to tailor, so i based my prices off bazarr prices. But now i read storys about outfits for 1k and the customer complaining and im getting the idea that im horribly overpriced! Basiclly i have 0/1/1/0. I charge 700 for any novice tailor or below clothing and 800 for any first tier clothing. And 500 for any novice tailor and below accesorie and 600 for any first tier. And 1k for any full body thing or backpack. Is that to much?

I'm not sure what the economy is like on your server, but there are very few things I make that I only charge 700 credits for. My prices for clothing range from 600 credits (for basic shoes and gloves) to around 3000-3500 for the more complicated things (dresses, etc.) I've never had anyone complain about my prices. Best thing to do might be to visit other tailors' shops on your server and see what they're charging.

If you are charging more than 10cpu, your prices might be a tad high, but that's what I generally charge for the time and effort to make someone clothing of their specific colours and requests. If I was mass producing them in a factory and throwing them on the vendors, that's going to drop the price a bit, but overall, the resources COST about 3-5cpu, so I'll get about double for the expensive stuff. Hides cost even more, but I can harvest those myself and save money.

My prices range from 500 to 15,000. Casual shoes or Shorts= 500. Robe of Honor or Fleshwrap = 15,000. I can recall only one time anyone said my prices were too high and that was way back when I was still a novice and wanted 1k for a travel pack. /shrug I still charge 1k for a travel pack.

I know what it costs me -with supplies, overhead and time/effort spent to make all that stuff - and those expenses get passed on to the customer. I also do not want to be swamped with the mails, tells and constant vendor drainage of having my prices set so low that I look like the local Goodwill store. Clothes priced too cheaply give the customer the erroneous perception that clothes and the profession are of no value.

(I give away plenty of stuff, but only face to face on a per person 'gee you were a nice and fun customer, here ya go, free, on the house...' basis) Sometimes I have a big sale, pricing items at below cost, but usually only if I recently moved or redesigned my shop, or when I want to reduce stock levels for a revamp.

My server has a high economy. 15k for an article of clothing is a drop in the proverbial bucket. And it lasts a heck of a lot longer than a 15k buff.

First make sure you are not losing money. That is the most important thing. Then the only other rule I follow is that if I am not getting much business, lower prices and if I am too busy to keep up, raise them.

Definitely make sure you are not losing money. Secondly just have fun with it. I'm on eclipse and honestly charge anywhere for 100 creds for a pair of shoes to 6000 for a flesh wrap. I also dont do vendors or put stuff on the bazaar. I am fortunate enough to have my materials donated to me but I usually will do a trade for materials for buffs since i'm a master doc as well.

I base my prices on my cost, or the going cost of a resource, if I harvested my own.

Wholesale (crates) is 3x my cost. Retail is 5x my cost. I have very little clothing that comes in under 1k, and the cheapest thing is 350cr, I think.

It comes out to a minimum of 10cpu for things I make with grinding quality resources... (no organics). I average closer to 20cpu. The only folks to complain have been the people that want me to make them gloves with +14 bleed defense and 4 sockets. (Something that is impossible to create, if you don't know the profession yet.)

I have just become a master Tailor. My cheapest item is 500c and my most expensive is 15000k. I haven't been selling them long enough yet to see if they are to dear or not. It just doesn't seem worth my time to sell something for less than 500c. I also don't want to be restocking my vendors everyday through selling lots of cheap items.

Now if I can just sort out my inventory......
