Thread: Need Clarification for patch on 10/21

Hello! I read while logging in tonight that there is scheduled to be a very large patch for JTL tonight. I noted that it did say that it won't be enabled until JTL goes live on 10/27. But, there was a part at the end of the patch explanation that said:
Now reading that, I'm not sure if they are saying that the new wearables and emotes are going to be availabe right after the patch, or if they will be available on 10/27. Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part that they will be available before 10/27

I would expect the whole patch to be enabled at once next week ..... so they're teasing us !!

I don't know either if the non-space content of JTL will be available diretly after the servers are up again after this big patch or if that content will be locked along with the space content until the official launch of JTL... I think we can only sit and wait for now... In a few hours we will know more

It was implied that it would be there, but you never know. I wouldn't count on it. On the other hand it would make a lot of sense to spend this next week testing the additions to the ground game on live before launching JTL next week. After all, you don't want to do major debugging of two games at the same time!

The devs have put great effort into testing the ground and space stuff and taking care that they don't break existing stuff with this expansion. The Quality Assurance Department of SOE and alot of serious beta testers (yes, there are not only those frog.. erm... worshipers and template-testers out there ) worked hard on that and from what I can tell it's working much better this time than with the initial release of SWG. But I agree, it would be a good idea to give the non-space stuff a week in advance to have some time to react if there was something overseen or unexpected happening.

Yea. I don't think that I am breaking the NDA by saying that this was one of the best beta tests that I have seen and JTL should be in much better shape than SWG was at the beginning. Still, since for some reason each galaxy reacts differently to patches its good to test them on all of the servers.

I just checked and they *did* go in today! I am stuck at work too, but I snuck in on my laptop long enough to check and to start a small factory run of hood-up black cloaks since I know those are going to sell like hotcakes for the next few days!
