My story:

I'm am in a business partnership with an armorsmith. Iam the supplier of the synth cloths and the reinforced fiber panels. It is a solid parnership so he gets the crates for free and I sometimes sell the pieces on the bazaar. Our bank accounts are pretty much interchangeable so we don't worry about who has what.

Way back when the synth crates were first hitting the market, I noticed a tailor who was selling them on the bazaar for really low prices. I was unable to keep up with the requests at the time and sent her a tell asking if I could refer my customers to her if I couldn't meet demand. It turned out that she had no idea that her prices were so low and then raised prices. I also showed her how to use the bazaar to make an ad and she did that too. My partner was annoyed that I was helping the competition but I was just trying to be nice.

Well anyway, she advanced much faster than I did and can now make reinforced panels that are twice as good as mine. My partner's bread and butter is top quality armor. He heard about her reinforced panels and flew all the way to a different planet when he could have taken mine for free. That hurt. The real kicker is that I sent him a tell just as he was sending a reply to her that said, "Don't tell my partner, but I will probably be back." I intercepted it. Oh was he in trouble!

Now I know this sounds like I'm complaining but I think that it is really kind of funny. I'm actually pleased that there is a reason to experiment and use the best materials in the reinforced panels. I now have incentive to get my tailoring skills up besides more colors. I wish more of our clothes were affected by quality.

As for our parnership, it is still rock solid. I just won't be making the reinforced panels for him until I get my skills up. He noticed a difference in the armor that he made using the high quality panels so he will be buying more from the other tailor. I'm actually glad for her. He wasn't really in trouble when I intercepted his tell either. I laughed at the irony of the situation. (Be careful with the /reply command.)

Anyway, for those of you who care about quality, there is hope and at least one product that matters.
