Thread: Biological Component? What's that?

I see this whenever I make Synthetic Cloth but nobody in Flurry seems to know what it is. I often ask every Tailor I come across and none of them seem to have an answer... Does anyone know?

Thanks.

The Bio components are made by bio-engineers. There are 3 differentitems that can be made. Find a Bio-engineer and ask them about it. Theitemsis called Myoflex cloth treatment, and I belive has a total of 3 different 'levels'

I have only been contected so far to 1 person who had a lot of BE skill and he didn't have already any in the tree that creates the products we need.

If you find someone let me know

Fortunately Clan BlackBlade <CBB> has a Bio-Engineer capable of making those items. Do you know what it actually does to the synthetic cloth?

from my understanding is that they add bonuses to clothing items. But you have to use the same thing in each cloth in an item.

I have heard of items that give pluses to medical and such, but not seen here any comprehensive list of what items make what stats in which articles of clothing. Neither have I seen a list of how to make something extra socketed, nor which items have sockets available, etc..

But I also haven't been able to look that much (and if anyone knows of such a list please point me in the right direction as I am sorta floundering on things like that and pricing)

Let me help, I have madea few contracts with some Bio-Engineers that were using the tissues for grinding.

-Charigra goes in synthetic cloth, adds business acumen (haven't seen this actually work cause I think the skill business acumen was removed after beta)

-Constrictor Cloth goes in reinforced fiberplast panels, adds bleeding resistance

-Confidence Cloth goes in reinforced fiberplast panels, adds warcry and intimidate

-Myoflex Cloth treathment goes in synthetic cloth, adds entertainer healing for music and dance

-Passive Biosensors adds medic skill (needs fish so its pretty hard to make)

I have seen +1 to +4 bonuses on these tissues. Since BEs can't make factory crates yet (crosses fingers) you will have to stick to lower end items. A lot of the Wookiees I sell to like the bleed resistance and entertainers kill for the Myoflex since the increased healing increases their XP gain as well. There are a lot more tissues that haven't been explored yet. A friend of mine (a master BE) says the high end tissues can't be made cause they require eggs and such that you don't see getting dropped in any form of quantity (I forgot what tissue it was but it needed 20 eggs and frankly I've only saw one egg from my time now as well as beta).

I'm still working on socketed items but I know it deals with the complexity of the item and your tailoring skill. With Novice Tailor skill complexity of 15 or less usually is a guaranteed socket item.

Hope this helps. When I learn more I'll post it here for everyone. Cheers

Now THIS is the big question currently facing tailors, what I wouldn't do for a comprehensive list of biological components. Any more examples guys and gals?

The Bio components are made by bio-engineers

I think that should be rephrased to say can be made since none of them seem to be doing it

Myoflex treatment adds to entertainer healing and is used in synthcloth.

Most people dont know what biological components are for. Search for Novice Tailors and discuss it with them. I am positive you will get some new and repeat customers.

Yes, Bio-Engineers can make the tissue that tailors need, the problem is its busted.

In a recent test that was performed a BE had some clothese with medicine use skill bonuses created. His base medicine use skill was +10 to start. With the clothing on the skill display showed: +10/+35.

A Small Stimpack-C requires 32 mecicine use skill to use. Which, with the new clothes he should have been able to use. However, he recieved the message that he didn't have enough skill to use the item. Apparently the game wasn't taking into account the modifiers from his clothing. The food supplement that BEs can make works that Chefs can use, but apparently the tailored cloth stuff we make still needs some work.

Sorry to be the bringer of bad news. But maybe the Tailors and the BEs can work together to get this fixed a bit faster.

On a related note, BE ability to make identical components required for us to make identical upgraded cloth is also broken, preventing us from enhancing any higher-level items (dusters, infil suits, etc).

What is wrong with people? I'm hawking clothes giving bonuses to dance/music healing and almost nobody is interested? I see you dancing! You're doing it right now! Don't you want some bonuses to that skill? COME ON!/rant

How annoying to go to all the trouble of getting some bio components and then nobody wants to buy. I even sold a pair of hotpants +6 dance healing to a dancer; inexplicably, she wore them for a few minutes, then changed into something uglier.

Bah! A pox on you, my loyal customers!
