Something came up tonight which I had never considered. An armoursmith asked me for 100 crated synth cloth and reinforced fibre panels. Normally I just make schematics for free, but this guy had no factory.

To be honest, I'm at a loss what to charge. What do the rest of you normally sell these for?

I sell them for 3k per crate, or 120 per cloth for synthetic cloth.

I'm still having a lot of success on Starsider with selling synthetic cloth and reinforced fiberplast panel crates for 4500 a piece.

On Intrepid the going rate is around 3k per crate of Synthetic Cloth and 5k for a crate of Reinforced. What's the going rate on Schematics?

Depends on the %'s you're making. I have varying prices by percentage. 5k for 25 of 21%, and don't get complaints. 80-90%'s are a much higher ballpark though. Ask the armorsmith if they want quantity or quality and charge accordingly.

Never make schematics for free! What are you thinking? You're giving away the ability to make crated items for nothing and you're still expending the same amount of resources of one item.

Nevermind the fact that you're killing your own business and that of other tailors looking to sell crates to armoursmiths.

Personally, I don't think I'd sell a schematic, and if I did, it would be for way more than the price of the crate itself. Remember, with one schematic, you're giving away not only the money you'd get selling those hundred synth cloth or whatever, you're also not getting any XP or UXP from them!
