The funny thing, is I'm not exactly a tailor noob, I have the clothier title...sigh...but I still don't know the answers to these questions.

1) what biological component goes into synthetic cloth? I mean, I make them without since it's optional, but I've tried, beans, hide, bones, meat...aren't they all biological technically? What am I not getting? And if I do add the biological component what does it add to, does it improve the cloth for lets say armorsmiths?

2) What the heck are sockets for? As I understand it you put things in them that add to certain stats or give bonuses to certain special attacks or crafting or whatever, am I correct? So then, where the heck do you get these things?

3) Why is there a clothing repair kit, but hardly anything needs repair? I mean, I'd think all those bustiers the dancers wear would get sweat stained, beer spilled, and just plain icky after all that dancing night after night, but I've never had anyone need clothing repair.

4) How much do people charge when others (armorsmiths mostly) ask for a) synthetic cloth fromyour factory where you have given your own raw materials, b) synthetic cloth fromyour factory where they provide the materials but use your factory and you make the schematic. and c) where you just give them the schematic so they can use it in their own factory with their own materials.

5) I'm just starting the field wear line, are there clothes that give protection bonuses? I've had people ask, and people say they do, but I don't know this for certain. Cold weather gloves seem to do nothing but be pesky when trying to equip a cloak at the same time, but I don't recall saying that they actually protect against cold...maybe it does and I just didn't see it.

And...I'm sure there's more, but I'll have to repost when I think of them. I appreciate your kindness, and please have pity on my ignorance.

I was going to answer your questions but then I realised I'm a bit of a n00b myself - but I'll give it a go anyway

1) You get biological components from Bio-Engineers - I shamelessly stole this from the BE forum.

Novice Bio-Engineer

- Contstrictor Cloth (Bleeding Defence)
Works on : Reinforced Fiberpanels.

- Micronutrient Supplement (Duration increase, Food)

- Chariga (Business Acumen)

Tissue I

- Myoflex Cloth Treatment (Healing Wound (Dancer/Musican))
Works on : Synthetic Cloth

- Confidence Cloth (Warcry and Intermidiate)
Works on : Reinforced Fiberpanels

- Bio-Strength Formula (Stat increase, Food)

- Devaronian Alipedene (Stat increase, Food)

- Cognitive Enhancer (Stat increase, Food)

Tissue II

- Passive Biosensors (Medicine use, Injury Treatment, Wound Treatment)
Works on : Synthetic Cloth

- Passive Tranquilizers ( ? )

- Scent Camouflage (Camouflage)
Works on: Synthetic Cloth

- Visual Camouflage (Cover, Taking Cover)
Works on: Synthetic Cloth

- Macrosodial Tetramate ( ? )

Tissue III

- Broad-Spectrum Nutrients (Duration Increase, Food (enhanced version of Micronutrient Supplement))

- Coagulant Agents (Bleeding Defence (enhanced version of Constrictor Cloth))
Works on: Reinforced Fiberpanels

- Enhanced Myoflex Treatment (Guess its the enhanced version of Myoflex (Healing Wound (Dancer/Musican))
Works on: Synthetic Cloth

- Personaphene (Business Acumen (enhanced version of Chariga))

- Toughened Fibers (Defence vs. Stun, Melee Defence)
Works on: Reinforced Fiberpanels

Tissue IV

- Active Biosensors (Medicine use, Injury Treatment, Wound Treatment (enhanced version of Passive Biosensors))
Works on: Synthetic Cloth

- Active Tranquilizers ( ? )

- Scent Neutralization (Camouflage (enhanced version of Scent Camouflage))
Works on: Synthetic Cloth

- Mimetic Circuitry ( ? )

- Macrosodial Pentamate ( ? )

2) Sockets are basically the same kind of thing as biological components in the fact they give you bonuses - except the items you place in them are dropped by NPC's, I think

3) Clothes do not degrade atm so there isn't much need for a repair tool - though hopefully this will be fixed by the devs asap.

4) (a) 150 a piece which would work out at 3750cr for a crate. (b) I've never actually done this but I guess 50cr a piece or something (c) I just don't do it - it works out far to cheap for those rich armoursmiths, though I guess you could just charge them 150cr a piece anyway - there is always some fool that will give them a 100 schematic for 1000cr or something though.

5) I have no idea on this - no doubt if they are supposed to give bonuses it's not working atm or something - can't say I've ever noticed them giving bonuses though.

Well that's it for now I'm sure someone will be along shortly to correct all my mistakes
