Thread: Fixing Cybernetics and Clothing (And Money-Making for Tailors)
Recently I made a post in the "Core Systems" board about this issue, which you can find here. I'd like to invite you all to read through it and see what you think. I have a range of ideas in the post on how to get cybernetics to work with clothing, and a good portion of those ideas are geared at giving something more for Tailors to make and sell for a profit. But feel free to post your own ideas, as well.
Thank you for your time.

ALL Shirts can be worn with mechalimbs. just an FYI.

As most of you (probably all of you, in fact) know, with cybernetics the clothing one can wear is extremly limited. Which, of course, simply down-right sucks. Not to mention it's gotta hurt a Tailor's business. After all, there's only a few shirts that can be made and worn with a cybernetic arm... no jackets, robes, gloves, ect. Many people I've seen have just ditched clothes all together and just wear armor... but even that is limited. But that's another story.

just do not want things being misrepresented, cybernetics wear as compo armor in those slots would.
Everything you can wear with bicep, bracer, gloves can be worn with mechaarms,
Anything that can be worn while wearing legs and boots can be worn while equipped with mechalegs.
Trust me I am not saying do not give us more clothes, but please do not misrepresent those that we have.

I'm not.

- Clothing (non-armor) gloves
- Robes
- Gowns

- Jedi robes
- Armor bracer (over the cybernetic, which is understandable).
- Armor bicep (over the cybernetic, which is understandable).
- Flightsuits
- Body suits
- Skin suits
- Boots (which is understandable)
- Pants (which is also understandable)
- Armor leggins (understanable)
- Armor boots (understandable)

You cannot wear biceps, bracers or gloves (some armor gloves do work, but not all) over the cybernetic arm. Not everything can be worn with cybernetic legs-- for example; flightsuits, skinsuits, body suits, ect.
The only thing that can be worn are armor chest plates, shirts and a few of the vests, for the cybernetic arm.

Ani'cul's not saying you can WEAR biceps, bracers, or gloves with the cybernetics - She's saying they ACT like biceps, bracers, or gloves. That means that you can wear any shirt with them, as they occupy a different slot. And from what I understand, the cybernetics are easy to remove, just go back to the doc that put 'em on and get 'em taken off.
Not that I don't think your idea is really cool - I do, and I wish they'd consider it. But considering how easy it is already to add/remove the cyber limbs, I doubt they will. They'll probably say 'If you want the bounses of the limb(s), put 'em on before you head out. When you're done fighting, go back and get them removed and put on your normal clothing.'
Just my opinion though.
I use these limbs for no other reason then role playing. The special bonuses on them I don't care about. It would look odd to say my character "lost his arm" in a battle or something, but then when he shows up sometime he has his regular arm while other times he doesn't.
Cybernetics aren't armor and shouldn't be something you just equip before going into battle. That takes awhile the whole point of having cybernetics.

Perhaps so. But they're all ugly.

Funny, that's how I feel about the cyber limbs
The devs did say you had to make a choice, if you want to wear robes and the like you'll have to take off your cyber bits. At least until they 'fix' it, if they decide to.

Cybernetics have a long list of down-sides or "cons" to them. But there's only one or two true "pros" to them.
I guess it's just another thing the Devs didn't think through completely. Not surprising in the least.
or maybe they did think it thru and thoughtif everyone could wear everything with mechlimbs then everyone would have them.
I for one am glad it is a semi miserable choice to have cybernetics.
We just got rid of the all compo clones, we don't need cybernetic ones in their place.

Not everyone would have cybernetics. Many would rather have armor on for the extra protection rather then a cybernetic limb.
