Thread: Doctor's Lab Coat?

Is there any item that might look anything like a doctor's lab coat? It would be an open coat, not a robe, 3/4 length would be best, but full length would be ok.

I've look through the character-builder skill tree, but from the names only it's hard to tell what things look like.

I'd like to know what to ask for if someone can tell me.

Thanks

There is a Doctor's Dress in Formal 3, but I don't know how it looks like atm. Maybe someone else can tell you, or show a screenshot.

I have completed the Formal Wear line, and the Doctor's dress is a long gown with some...funky trim in a sort of X across the front. It's almost as if there is a big apron on the dress.

I was wondering if perhaps a white duster (you know, that coat in Field Wear) would do the trick? =) Oh well, just an idea!

A white gunmans duster could double as a lab coat pretty good.

I think the duster is probably it. I wish Dev's would add a lab coat. I know doctors would like it and maybe others like droid engineers etc.

Yes, I've substituted white gunman's dusters for lab coats and the doctors have loved them. Cloaks work too, but generally lab coats don't have hoods. Either way, chances are that you'll make a doctor very happy with either of those items.

I like a white cloak myself. Still wearing a looted black one at the moment though.

I like the Smock in white for medical wear.

I've also had great luck selling "paramedic" clothing --- generally ribbed shirts, ribbed pants, rugged jacket, with white main color and a red "stripe". Only really useful in towns / med centers, because medics don't want to be identified in the PvP battlefields obviously. But in town (as I advertise in my bazaar blurb when I sell them) you WANT people to know you're a medic so they'll come to you and you get healing exp

The white-on-white smock re-named "Doctor's Smock" also sells quite well.

I actually wanted one for my Bio-Engineer and I did alot of comparing of the two dusters: Gunman's and Spec Ops.

I went with Spec Ops for a few reasons:

1)It's "white" color is dirty - heh, me likey dirty. My character's name is Brando Moreau after all. Muahaha. Come visit my island!

2)It's collar is more doctor lab coat-ish. The Gunman's is too high and dramatic -- not very conservative like a doctor's should be.

Take care!
