I just made Novice Tailor, mostly just to try it out and make a few factory runs of renforced fiberplast panels for my buddy who's going up armorsmith. Rather than practice, I'd like to make a lot of clothing of various colors just to see how it looks and sells. Since I'm not probably notgonna be a REAL tailor (though, who knows, it looks fun) I don't want to hurt my local tailors. As an Architect, I'm very sympathetic to people dropping prices because of grind. Still,I've not looked at clothing prices for weeks.

What's a good ballpark figure for novice tailor and tier I and IIitems?

3 per unit?

4 per unit?

250 for shirts...250 for pants...500 for rugged jacket...1500 for smock. 1200 for military pack...800 for sleeveless dress. That's what I charged when I made novice tailor items. For me price depends on demand..higher demand can mean i charge up to 10-12 cpu. lower demands are 6-8 cpu. But do what works for you, so we don't start another price war thread.

Try 10+ if you ask most of the master tailors on this board.

Not that I subscribe to that mentality.

So you probably shouldnt listen to anything I say from here on out.

I think Ive been blacklisted by the Master Tailors Union of Tarquinas

Price should always be made on demand / percieved value, not materials/labor required to make something. If that was the case in real life then a Ford Explorer would only be about $500 more than a Ford Escort (seriously, the labor, production, and materialcosts are nearly the same). Same with stereo receivers, a sony DTS would be about $2 more than a non sony DTS receiver. However, the Ford Explorer has a lot mroe value to me, and the DTS is sounds about $100 better, so that to me is worth the extra money.
