Ok, I am new to tailoring and I am trying to use my factory to make some metal fasteners. The ingredient list says I need 'Honenici'. Does anyone know what kind of metal this is? I've already scanned the resources listed in my galaxy (Naritus) and none was obvious.
Also, I can use any kind of metal to make them by hand, but the factory requires a certian kind? What kind of lame idea is that? Can I change the ingredients required by the factory?

Honenici should be the name of the metal you used to make the schematic. check your inventory 
p.s.: didn't address the rest of your question... when you make a schematic with certain resources, it locks in the name/type of those resources and you need to use them for that factory run.

From the Tailoring FAQ:
What materials do I put in the factory?
You have to use the same materials you used to make the schematic. If you used nabooan fiberplast A to make the schematic, you cannot use nabooan fiberplast B to run the schematic. A simple way to tell is, after you load in your schematic, click on "list ingredients." The exact names of the resources you used should pop up, along with the ratios in which you must load the ingredients into the station.
