I've got a guildmate who has a bandolier that functions as a backpack. Holds 50 items and everything... which bandolier is it, I've bought 3 now: Ammo, Multipocket and Merc, and no storage in them. I would dearly love to get rid of my backpack and replace it with a much more stylish bandolier.

I believe the bandolier that your after is a pilot reward.
As much as we'd love to, we Tailors can craft bandoliers or belts with storage.

Man, I'm gonna go put in a feature request right now, you guys and gals should be able to craft stuff like that.

There are three types of Bandoliers that have storage.

Mercanary Bandolier - Only Neutral Pilots can wear this

I am not sure where anyone gets this. My GUESS would as a reward for neutral pilots. Or it was loot in space back when the JTL expansion came out.

Multi-Pocket Bandolier - Anyone (as far as I know.. I have one) can wear this

I have no idea where to get this. I have mine. I don't recall where I got it since at the time, I did not know the difference between this and the above Mercanry bandolier. Might have been aloot item then got nerfed.. I don't recall. Have not seen one since, but there are a few on Vendors for 999mil

Double strap (not sure of actual name) bandolier - Not sure who can wear this one. I have one somewhere - I think.

Don't know where this one is found either

Sorry not a HUGE help, but at least tells you what is out in the world. Mercanary Bandolier's are by FAR the most common. None are craftableand that must change.

This is my recollection (please correct me if I'm wrong):

Mercenary Bandolier is granted at tier 0 to all Freelance Pilots.

Multi-Pocket Bandolier is awarded at tier 0 to Wookiee and Ithorian Rebel Pilots (since they cannot wear the orange Rebel flightsuit).

Two-Strap Bandolier is awarded at tier 0 to Wookiee and Ithorian Imperial Pilots (since they cannot wear the Imperial Flightsuit and Helmet).

As far as I know, these items are tradeable. However, you must be a part of the appropriate pilot faction to wear one. Daisame, I assume you are a Rebel pilot.

Then again, maybe I'm all wet.

That is correct, you can trade it without a problem but to mantain wearing it {able to remove and put it back on} you must be of the faction which awards it

You can earn the bando and drop faction to another while wearing it but should you ever unequip it, you cannot equip it back on.
