...but I have finally mastered Tailor. The wonder that is true red. Oh how I've longed for thee. At last, you are mine.
There are so many things I want to make...but first I'm going to have to make a ton of factory components.

Having mastered tailor back in august, and now starting over, it's frustrating as all sin to have limited schematics and the limited palette. I got to know all my schematics, and whenever I level, there's nothing "ooo yay ooo" about it, only a "thank god I have that back again". I thought I would be able to leisurely make my way through the ranks, but the lack of the high-end colors is really driving me toa hard grind.

I was/am most excited by the new colors....although everyone still only seems to want black/white ot black/red.

Surprisingly (or not as the case may be) I sell just about as much purple as red. Lately people are wanting more muted colors like forest green, or navy blue (which are some of my favorites for my yellow twi'lek.) And silver fleshwraps. Yes, I know, it's just gray... but I label it "silver" and it sells. I got complaints about a month ago that there weren't enough "earthy" tones so I started making desert colors - tans, browns, muted greens - and those are selling quickly too. /sigh. They want master colors when you're not a master, and once you hit master demand the varieties of sand and puke. Go figure.

Color popularity is a weird thing. What you say about purple doesn't surprise me too much, actually. I think the population of people who wear purple is pretty small, but that population *really* likes purple!
I've got some customers where purple just looks great on them, and they'll buy like 30 items in that color.
The odd thing I've been noticing personally (mainly watching what stuff is expiring from my vendor) is that, for some reason, green seems to be falling out of favor locally, and it's usually been a good seller for me.

Who knows? I do think it's good to fool around with colors you don't normally use every once in a while, just to see if anything surprises you. Recently I discovered that the lighest shade of the Orange color range makes a really nice substitute for the bright yellows we don't actually have....
