I got a crafter's apron schem and was wondering if i get to pick which proffesion's apron is made, or if it is random? Also there is no armorsmith apron right? Thanks.

If you open it up in the datapad under schematics it should say which style of crafting station is used in it that will give you the type of apron and no theres no armoursmith one (if there is no-ones owned up to having one)

Is it true that you can have only one Crafter Apron schematic "learned" at a time, regardless of which kinds you have?

I got an Architect one, and haven't made them yet because I lack the Heavy Leather. I acquired another schematic, but can't open it. So my question is, does this mean it's another Architect one, or might it be something else?

I would guess that you have another architect schem. I have the Medical, tailoring and architect schem in my datapad now, so you can learn more than one at a time.

Ah. Well, crap, then.

I guess the architect one's not completely useless, though - if I understand their profession correctly, the experimentation's as useless as ours is? But I suppose Assembly bonuses are nice to have if you're an architect, simply because of the vast quantity of resources you'd lose on a crit fail when building a Guild Hall or somesuch?

Experimentation makes a difference to how good a harvester is;BER, storage, and so on. Might affect other things like craft stations, too. My PA's architect wasvery happy abouthis apron.

As I understand it, if you can't learn the schematic, you've already learned that particular variety. My tailor on Scylla has now learned them all, and has a few "mystery scrolls" in the vault (since I can't learn em, because they're duplicates, I don't know what they are duplicates of.) Rest assured, you won't "waste" anything by trying to learn a duplicate.
