Thread: Petition for Exquisite Dancer's Leotard

Oh dear I have never dared to do a petition thing before, always seen them akin to saying "HEY DEVS PLZ READ THIS OR ELSE" kind of thing, but here it is.

The new exquisite leotard was a great addition; we have asked for limited use loot schematics for a long time and we now have them! They are made with other loot (also a request), but this component supposedly adds a sheen to an item.

These leotards are not too sought after though, for a number of reasons:

1 Dancers are typically not that rich, and need a really good reason to buy them

2 Being able to heal people quicker is not necessarily in the interest of a dancer, who mostly like people to stay and interact a while

3 They look the same as the normal leotard

I regard number three as the most important, given that looking good and different is a major deal for an entertainer, and also it is made from the crystalline treatment, which should have a visual effect.

So how about elevating the exquisite leotard to a much sought after item by allowing it to be with the full palette?

I have to agree. The only benefit of the exquisite dancer's leotard seems to be the mind buffing enhancement, but that is barely used, especially with the new chef's foods. What dancers want are lots of nice colors, and I think this would make both tailors and dancers very happy.

I agree that the leotard is problematic for the following reasons:

  1. It looks the same as a normal leotard

  2. the bonuses are not *that* super

  3. dancers have no money

  4. males can't wear it, thereby making it a bit unfair

  5. many female dancers (myself included) think it's too revealing and won't wear one.

Does that about cover it? Does anyone have a potential solution to these problems?

1. Change the default art/color palette

2. Eh, what can you do. I enhance the ones I make for +25 wound healing, just to make it look better.

3. No idea, but getting rid of hologrinders and macrotainers is probably a start.

4. & 5. Give it the option to be crafted as a different garment in much the same way the Crafter's Apron can (could) be crafted. For the sake of disallowing stacked bonuses, only allow full-body schematics to be used (other bodysuits, dresses, et cetera) Gender restrictions as per visual style chosen. (Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing this as a Luxurious Gown with better color options)

My main point is that by just allowing the full palette this item will become a super item.

It would also visually justify the use of the crystalline treatment.
