PLEASE please please please sugar on top......

LABEL YOUR BAZAAR CLOTHING WITH A FREAKING COLOR.

Sighhh, I went through 300 clothing items on theChimaera bazaar in coronet yesterday, with my newbie second account char. I was trying to find a nice outfit. Out of over 300 items to choose from, about 8 were labeled ( black of course). The rest were all colors of the rainbow, but I had to open them to find out. I didn't look at them all, simply gave up, and am still running around in one outfit.

Sigh, guess I need to run her to JennyFur's shop on Tat.

Well its worth a thought....so you want it with a color tag....

example would be... short robe... with tag it would be Black Short Robe....

Then they usualy add their own "Craft" tag that most want em to add...

Will most not complain about that Instead? I am simply wondering about that...

I dont mind the idea though... I will TRY to make it with the color in the name...

The way I do it personally is

Short Robe Black

or

Plain Shirt Red

Striped Pants Black/Red

Having to go through 300 items took me a good15 minutes, and still didn't see them all. It just makes it easier to find what you're looking for.

People will buy the color marked clothes much faster than they will the standard named ones, off your vendor or the bazaar. And I do not put the color in front because that messes up how it sorts by categories.

I try to keep mine short. Robe<Q>Red

sorry you were mauled by clothing lacking labels! dont worry the real tailors label their art!

here's how i do it:

Leather Trim Shirt ::Gold and Black:: "Glass Moon Fashions"

the whole gold and black wont get seen, but the first part usually does.

but at least they will notice that even though its not 100%visible, i still take pride in my work.

Tailors a hard grind already it's kind of slow to change the name to add the color of the item in the name just a thought.

Mine are usually Grand Ball Gown (White/Blue) and I if it has tissues in it, then: Grand Ball Gown (White/Blue - Medical) I also separate quality, so if it is +15 medical, that's how I do it, but I will change medical to "Doctor" if it is +25. The same goes for Entertainer/Diva, Brawler/Teras, Combat/Battle, Cover/Sniper, etc... The exact values aren't on, but you can always examine the item to see what they are. I just hate double checking my tissues to see if I'm using a different lot of synth/RFP to make it. Some are +15, +16, +17 etc and I'd hate to mislabel

I've listed all mine with their colour for months and they do sell better, especially on the bazaar.

The method I use is:
Light Bustier, Red (254) *Kelsaka*
Dress Slippers, Lilac (246) *Kelsaka*

and so on. My theory is this will make it much easier to replace clothing when the decay kicks in as well as colour-matching

And that's how you seperate the true tailors from the grinders

when i started out i didnt name them either for 2 reasons.

firstly you as a newbie you dont know the significance of it, in time they will, especially if told

the second reason is i'm partially colour blind and therefore couldnt correctly tell the colour, so i would name those that i could and leave the rest with the generic name.

Yes the first reason is the most likely, but i am sure that some have the same difficulty as i used to.

What I do now is use brand name to my advantage... Since the biggest two tailors in Theed just retired on my server, Ive taken over a good portion of their workload, and hell, half the city recommends me. My partner and I use the label (AnN) at the front of all our clothing. For instance:
(AnN) Grand Ball Gown (Purple/Blue)
This tag is short enough so as not to obscure the item's name on the bazaar, but it does get bumped to the top of the list when they open it due to the (AnN), something I really like, and I find it helps boost sales just a bit.

I also label my clothing Striped Pants-blue/red

or Doctor's robe-red/black +25 injury/wound healing

I don't understand the need for a label since your name shows up in the detail winodw anyway, just seems like more work to me.
