Ok, how about some tailoring creativity in the decor department. I have seen skirts and hotpants used as curtains but what else can you do????

Hmm. I'm in the middle of decorating a Tatooine guild hall as a mall for our city. Once it's done, I'll get some screenshots online.

With the space being so huge and yet limited to only 250 items, I have to stay lean and mean so I can't go in for the splurges like skirts and hotpants for decor. I try to use large items creatively to make up for the lack of little details and touches I can't indulge in due to the limits.

I have a large fireplace in the main room made with architect components. Structural modules. And I partially walled in the pit area in the main room with those too, making them into garden planters filled with flowers and trees. One of the large side rooms is decorated as a restaurant. "The Jungle." The "creative touch" is the fountain with swans and fish swimming in it.

(edit: never fails - you think of that thing you couldn't remember - after you hit send! Grrr)

The Jungle is also known as the Green Room because I used the green street lights in there. At night, when the street lights come on, that small room glows very, very green. It sets a very nice ambience for the dining room theme.

I also put a large round brazier right at the mouth of the tunnel exiting onto the roof. I pushed it out there as far as mechanics allowed. Now half the brazier is in the tunnel, and from inside, it looks like half is outside on the roof. You have to walk through fire to go out there. You can also see that fire burning up there from down on the ground. The Mayor also put street lights in the corners up there that you can see lit up at night.

And I have the requisite Burning Tusken in the main room of the mall. Our city museum has the Hanging Tusken.
