Thread: Did I Miss Something? Bio Enhanced Armor Now?

Boo!

(Oh yeah, they also got our new and improved metal palette for some armor, so now they can make padded armor in our Master color palette and some other armor in our new pretty metal palette. Heck, the metal palette was probably improved for them instead of for us. I knew I should have been suspicious that we actually got dev attention.)

Not to mention high level composite metal armour is far blacker than a simple cloth made Gunmans Duster

I would like to see more colours given back to the duster, because any Tailor 0-3-0-0 can make the best dusters. Plus I like blue

wow. if this remains in game it might make my decision to drop master tailor all together easier. BE clothing is the only thing keeping me in it. And i hate to admit it, i hate the 'IF THIS DOESNT CHANGE IM GONNA QUIT/CANCEL/CRY' type posts...but yeah, if armorsmiths continue to be able to incorporate BE tissues into armor, then there really is no reason to tailor anymore. =(

This is so sad.

In my opinion, with decay rates not too many people will spend money on new clothes...and now that Armor can also have enhancements...(in addition to the resists/mods they already have)well they're never going to buy RFP enhanced clothing from us Tailors anymore.

The only upside is people who constantly use specials in combat wearing armor will take a lot of penalties... so maybe this will change their minds a bit about feeling like they can get the entire deal in one nice and dandy armor package.

I still get tons of orders on it. Remember to take into consideration that everyone right now, is buying pets at crazy prices. This might be why you have seen a drop in sales. I am pretty sure they will raise again. Don't tell me that you've started seeing the majority of players running around in armor after the patch? People would still rather fight in clothes, than using armor. The armor's encumberance usually kills you more often than any creature.

I haven't heard anything about this mentioned inour tailor board yet, so maybe it's old news and I missed the boat on this. Bio enhanced armor?! I was wondering why my sales of bio clothes were slowing down since patch...

And of course it'll be months until any dev even confirms whether this is a bug or a feature.

I'm virtually certain, btw, that the expanded metal palette was for armorsmiths, and just a scrap we get to gnaw on from the armorsmiths' table. Crafting Rule #1 seems to be: "Armorsmiths and Weaponsmiths get whatever they want; other professions might get 10% of what they want, if we get around to it, maybe."

Of course, it's still better to buy bio-clothes instead of bio-armor... our stuff doesn't decay when you get hit, only when you die.

I thought they said that this could never happen to armor? What's a tailor to do now

So this is definitely a bug? I've yet to find an official answer to this, butI had read many times before that this was never meant to work this way. I wish they'd fix it quickly if it is indeed a bug, because there are many people out there right now pumping out some really whacked out suits of armor

I'm both master armorsmith and tailor. I haven't had a chance to log in much over the past several days so today was the first I heard about this, but I still can't believe something like this accidentally slipped in
