Master Tailors should be able to create clothing skill attachments.

Clothing Attachment: 1 can be made every six hours. The results are completely random, and effect every profession's skill in the game.

I figure most of the time they will be +1 this or +2 that, but every once in a while you could get a dual +10, +10.

Im sure it could be based on experimentation, or quality of materials. Or maybe any type of materials can be used and is kinda like a secret schematic.

what'cha think

My roomate and I were actually talking about this (he's a tailor) we came up with something like you pick the profession you want it to work with, the skill it enhanced was random, it could be a negative number, no schematic could be made, resource requirments being rare and several named ones.

fyi I'm VERY up for anything like that. The +25s SHOULD be very... very... very rare also.

well what i really hate is:

1. tactical skinsuits dont give any mods for camo

2. mounts dont need tailors to make their saddles

3. thermal boots dont give any heat or cold mods

4. ammo belts dont hold extra ammo

5. infiltration suits dont help anyone infiltrate...

you get the point...

Why not just allow tailors to take BE tissues and turn them into clothing skill tapes? I think it'd simplify the whole bio-enhancement things immensely, allowing the customer to pick first the clothing, then the attachments. The problem with pre-made bio-clothing is that what the tailor crafts might not be what the customer needs. I can see a demand for custom bio-clothing, hence making skill tapes from tissues would seem to be beneficial.

Well, as a bio engineer obviously I'd be pretty upset if this were to come to pass. Basically, what you are proposing is a tailor-made alternative to bio engineered tissues. Hmm, don't think that would fly to well in the BE forum. FYI, the BE's want to cut the tailors out just as much as you want to cut them out. I've heard proposals like BE's should be able to make clothing skill tape attachements that they could sell directly to end customers who could then drop them in clothing. Would cut tailors completely out of the loop. Let's hope neither happens. But I guess if it does, I could just drop one or the other profession, lol.

Well, everybody seems to believe we craft SEAs anyhow for some bizarre reason, so maybe it should be made true. (Seriously, why do so many people seem to have this notion?)

Personally, I'd just like to see SEAs go from "almost as rare as Holocron" loot to the "just plain rare" level they used to be. Heck, or even "not terribly uncommon!" Presuming they eventually make clothing decay work semi-correctly, making lowish-level SEAs more common shouldn't be horribly unbalancing, I wouldn't think.

As it is now, socketing is almost completely irrelevant, since the average person is probably wearing clothes that have 15 more sockets than she could even dream of actually utilizing.
