Thread: Stacking doctor modifiers... is this for real?

Another dumb question from a clueless tailor... So I bought a bunch of good tissues from a BE on my server. I'm making all these amazing clothes. I gave a wookiee in my guild three articles of clothing that gave him +65 wound and injury treatment, and +4 melee defense, and +18 stun defense. And he can't wear much stuff. I figure if I tried, I could make at least four items wearable by my human character that are all +25, +25 to doctor skills for a +100, +100 total on injury and wound treatment.

Has anyone run tests on these? Do they really all stack up like this? Or do they cap you at +25, +25 or something, making the other modifiers effectively worthless? It doesn't seem like they would, but these modifiers seem too powerful to be true.

Thanks

There is a cap of +25 per clothing article, obviously...but it is possible to get +100 in something with synthetic cloth...if you're not a Wookiee.

You can modify...

pants/skirt slot
shirt slot
jacket/vest slot
and
hat slot

Both normal hats and twi'lek hats work, although you'll need more tissue for twi'lek hats.

Alternatively, you could do...

Any flightsuit + any vest + hat andget the same...but that may or may not require more tissues.

The max bonus you can have total (per outfit) is +25. So you can have a pair of +25 pants, or a shirt and pants with +15 and the net effect will be +25 either way. The fact that more shows up in the skill display is a UI bug, which was confirmed by Vandessa a while back (a dev confirmed it).

I sell the full suits of +100/+100 doctor clothes, and I've been running some tests with a doctor friend. From what I've seen, there is no difference between heals or buffs when she wears the ful suit or if she wears only one piece. But heck, the randomness of the medicine is pretty hard to tell. We still get some wild values at times with both on.

I'd like to hear more people that have tested, and if there is a doctor on Gorath that would use a +100 set for a day and compare, I'm perfectly willing to donate it.
