What should I charge for these? Just out of curiousty, what are the rest of you charging for them. I jsut got an order, My first one,and am charging 3.5 cr/u per resource i use, and i supply the resource. I got all the resources i used for 2.5cr/u. I Used 42000 resources so I charged 150k. Should I have charged 4 cr/u of resources i used and charged 170k? Or maybe more?

I charge at least 5 cpu for friends and 10 cpu for everyone else. You must remember that you have to pay maintenence on the factory and power it up at whatever cpu your power is worth. You also have to use your own factories which could be used to make your own items, so you're "losing money" every minute they're producing for someone else. There are also redeed costs, if you don't normally keep 3 factories in production (I don't).

When you factor in just the maintenence and power costs, and not even the other intangible costs (i.e. opportunity costs, costs for your time and effort) you'll see that you may well be only breaking even with this deal.

Don't sell yourself short! It's probably too late to renegotiate this deal, but there will be future deals. And in the future, if they say "but so and so got a price of x" you can say something vague like "well I got a new resource supplier". Even better, next time offer to make the schematic for 10k, if the other person provides the materials and the factories, and you don't have a hassle for the next few days babysitting factories. You make the schematic and the client takes it out of your hair.

Ouchies, I got spanked on this deal hehe. Thnx for the reply. I guess this is a nice learning experience though hehe. Ya, I probbably am coming out even on this one, or maybe in the hole. Your right about the time though. It takes 33 hours to make 1000 reinforced Fiber panels. That time could have definetly have been better spent on something that is useful to me.

Standard prices for clothing is 10cpu for me. There are surcharges based on high-traffic goods or it being a master item, but overall i do not sell for less than 10cpu. If someone wants to buy up all my stock of synth cloth, then they are hurting my ability to sell those clothes. They should expect to pay at least 10cpu for it. Now, as it is no effort for me, I'm willing to chip in the cost of manufacture, but when someone tells me that they found someone selling 500 RFP crates to them for 2600 each, I am stunned. a crate of those panels = 30 units or resources * 25 = 750 resources. They are getting it for about 3cpu, give or take. Heck, I can sell my resources on the bazaar for 3cpu and make the same amount.

I willbe happy when holocrons across the server clusters shatter again, and the mysterious voice that tells people to master professions they have no interest in, ceases to speak. The economy will return to normal and milk and honey will flow throughout the land!!!

Tailin charges the following:

Synthetic Cloth Crate (25 units): 2000
Reinforced Fiber Panel Crate (25 units): 2200
Fiberplast Panel Crate (50 units): 2000

I take email requests. I have 5 factories so big orders are usually not a problem.

Also... people will seek out a master tailor to make these panels, even though a novice tailor can make them just as well. In my experience, the novice tailors need the money, while the master tailors are already too busy to do cloth orders.

I don't do them, except for friends, because it's not worth it to me to bust my hump making panels for 5 cpu (the going rate on my server) when I can make clothes at twice that. But this may be because my fiance is an armorsmith so I'm already supplying panels to someone on a regular basis, so my factories are always busy (we have 4 factories between us, and they're usually running something).
