Thread: What am I supposed to do now? Any suggestions?
Well that's ridiculous! The game mechanics should treat 2 coverts (without TEFs) as neutrals in terms of trading. That's why we have covert status right?
As for where to report/ask about things like this, I'd go to the Core systems forum (hidden at the bottom of the professions forum list. Or for this one (since it involvesfactions)the Galactic Civil War forum.

OK. I already did the GCW forum, but I will also ask in the Core systems form. Thanks! As it is now I can't trade with overt rebels (get a TEF), I can't trade with overt imperials, I can't trade with covert imperials, I can't safely trade with neutrals. I guess this leaves only covert rebels left.
The Problem:
You can always trade with a covert member of the opposite side UNLESS they get a tef that is invisible to all but themselves. It's a flag symbol beside their HAM bars. They get this by trading something TO (not from) an overt of their faction. They can also get this by healing an overt member or their faction. Essentially, anything that benefits an overt, will give you a tef. It lasts 5 minutes, and is annoying as heck. Worst part is when you trade to an overt of your own faction, getting the tef and you are kicked out of your house for it.
The Fix:
Use someone on the faction of the tef person. If you are rebel, trading to an imperial overt/covert-tef, just find a covert imperial that has no tef and use them as the messenger. This person will get a tef through the trade, so it's best to send everything over in one trip.

The way I see it is that trading/healing an overt seems to give me a TEF that only I can see. I see it at top right of my screen as a little flag but do one else has any indication that I have it, even if I am grouped with them. If in med center I hide a floor or two upThese TEFs last a lot shorter than the old ones...only a couple of minutes, as oppose to the ten I used to get when running missions.

OK. I think that the problem is that TEFs are not visible to coverts (and maybe overts). I can target someone, or even be in the same group, but the little flag is not visible. It is impossible to tell if someone has a TEF. The strange thing is that the person I tried to trade to was definitely not a rebel. I should not get a TEF for trying to aid a member of the opposite faction anyway.
