Has anyone else noticed a large increase in crit failures today? I'm getting wayyyyy more than I usually ever do. Like almost every other thing I make is a crit fail.

It's weird...normally I only get like 1 a day.

Help!

My critical failures are so ranged from day-to-day that I can't really keep track. For me, I think it has to do with where I am (if it is somewhat laggy) and how quickly I try to click through the crafting*shrug* but that's just me...

I've noticed an increase in general over the past few weeks, maybe longer. Crit fails used to be rare, now they are fairly common. I fail twice in a row on the same item even. I can't remember that happening before. I have multiple failures each crafting session. Of course, I have no hard numbers to back it up, but I do think failures have increased.

Thanks for the responses!

I used to get like 1 crit failure a day and now I am getting numerous crits in a row. A Master Tailor should not be getting crits like that.

Today I had more crit failures than i ever have in a single day... mostly in BE clothing.

I failed a synth cloth, then a pair of striped slacks with two synth cloth in them, and then another pair of striped slacks with 2 synth cloth in them

Why do I mention the synth cloth? Oh, because those 5 synth cloths had +14 taming tissues in them. That was 125 milk lost to critical failures.

They have already admitted that there is a problem with critical failures and that they will try to fix it eventually. If you start getting a lot of critical failures, just log completely out and back in. It usually fixes the problem.

When I get alot of crit failures I do exactly that.. log out and then try again the next day. It does seem to be random, like one day no crit fails but then suddenly the next day I get alot. When I start getting alot I log out and stop crafting.

Gyopi thanks for the update. I had not seen any info on the crit failures.

Also, I completely understand about losing the cloths. I lost some +13/13 bleed defense due to crits.

Usually you don't need to wait an entire day. It almost seems like it is a random number generator problem and just getting completely out of the game and logging back in to get another seed fixes the problem. Of course my high failure rate for tissues using milk or mollusks just seems to be rotten luck. I fail on these as much as I succeed, even if I am having good luck on everything else.

This is my First Day as a Master Tailor and so far today out of about 25 items created. I have about a 1 out of 5 crit failure

I had 5 critical failures in a row on RFP. I think the devs were looking into that over the weekend. TH said he was testing crafting all weekend.

They worked on it, but they did not run into any of the problems that we have seen. I think they got a failure rate less than 5%. To tell the truth, this is how it works for me most of the time. My problem is that I end up with large clusters where I fail more than half the time no matter how simple the item is. This usually goes away with a logoff. The other is that it seems to sense that I am using BE tissues and if they are expensive ones, or I am using a lot of them the system seems to love to give me a critical failure. As a matter of fact, I would say that most of the time that I get a critical failure, I have lost over 20K in tissues in the process.

Anyway, they did not find the problems, but they hinted that they want to lower the failure rate for masters.
