I've seen unity bands (had one...been there done that) and wanted to make two for a couple's wedding i'm doing the outfits for...but all i can make is the regular bands...is there a special schematic for it??

Nope, its the same item just with the name changed during creation. I found that 'Band' didn't sell very well because not everyone realises they can be used for unity, so I name my vendor/bazaar stock 'Unity Ring'.
I've also made custom named rings with the couple's names and date of unity

I've never made rings for the bazaar or my vendor, but usually put up a "readme" which encourages the customer to contact me directly with 1) color and 2) inscription. Then if they hadn't thought to put an inscription... well now they will, and everyone will be happier.
Also - and this is just my personal opinion - if apotential husband/wifecan't be bothered to take the time, make the effort, and spend the premium to commission a tailor to make a proper ring, then forget it. I wouldn't accept an "off the rack" unity band, so I don't make them.

What I have found is that occasionally people will come up to me and ask for one or maybe two rings. If they don't say anything else then I explain to them that I can do that, but that while you can see a ring in your inventory and equip it, they can't be seen on your character. Then to that they'll usually just say ok, so I decide to pry a little more, and tell them that I can make their request, but ask if perhaps there's any special way they would like the ring(s) to be titled. That's when they'll finally tell me, "Yeah, can you make it say something like 'To X from Y I'll always love you.'" or something to that effect. I think only once or maybe twice has someone specifically asked for unity rings. Most of the time I don't know if they're afraid or embarassed to ask for unity rings or just don't realize that there are ways to make it personalized - even unique. I guess I should realize by now that pretty much anytime someone asks for a ring that it's for unity ring.
