I'm not a Tailor nor do I read the Tailor forum frequently, so please excuse me if this has been posted before.

Did anyone ever post the idea for a Master Tailor to be given the ability to remove SEAs (Skill-Enhancing Attachments) from clothing to reuse in another set of clothing? To balance this, perhaps the SEA level would be reduced each time this ability is used. For example, a Tailor could remove a +10 attachment from a pair of gloves, resulting in a +8 attachment that you can now re-attach to any piece of clothing. The reduction could have a minimum of 1 and a maximum based on a roll vs. the tailor's overall Tailoring skill.

Just an idea...

Not a bad idea, but since clothing lasts forever its a moot point unless you want it in a different looking set of clothing i guess...

I would like skill tapes to become BE player made items, the schemes for the tapes should be dropped as loot, made by the BE and put into the clothes by tailors.

Why ?

Becuase Sony said it would be a player craft based system not a loot one, sony then ruin this by making nearly good items loot drop !!!!

The develop the scheme - crafting system then fail to use it crazy !!!

With the usabilty of fully decayed clothing being taken out in publish 10 (think thats the one they said) then this sounds a reasonable idea. Good that the tape would reduce in value after being removed, gives them a limited life but reasonably long life.

How about making the removal of tapes require a "SEA Removal Kit" as well as being a master tailor, that way there is some cost involved too and it's not just a skill that people can demand for nothing/very little payment. Actually what about allowing experimentation on the kit relate to the reduction applied to the tape. -1 for the best kits, say -3/4 for ones made using the worst grind resources (read, our "normal" resources )

At least this might help reduce the obscene prices on some of the tapes around.

I think these are great ideas...this would also give us a bit (just a bit) of variety. I know I'd like to be able to reuse a tape in something else and I think the penalties mentioned are fair. Ialso favor the idea of BE making tapes and perhaps looting the schematic off of something. Good ideas.
