How about give tailors the ability to construct manikins so we can show off outfits, I know we can do that to NPC Venders, but you need to master part of Merchant profession to do that which kind of sucks if your low on skill points not to mention you can't get the outfit back once you put it on the vender. Maybe allow 1 manikin for Novice Tailor up to having6 or 8if your a Master Tailor. Would make showing off custom outfits a lot easier. As it is now if we drop clothes in the house it takes up valuable inventory space, make it so manikins are like venders and dont take up any house inventory space. Or you can make it so only Master Artisians can make them. Would help add to there income... Just a thought...

Something I've long thought would be a great addition to tailoring. Similar to the Holoclothier idea threads, that sometimes overflow into this area in order to reach a compromise.

Same here - I would love to have mannequins, even as a tailor or master artisan crafted item. Their use would go beyond tailors, and into collectors, armorsmiths, etc. The functionality is already there, as we can dress our vendors. All that needs to be done is for some inspired dev to move the code over to a crafted item. Would be very cool.

Maybe they could re-use the ID terminals and UI to give people an idea of what they would look like in the different types of clothes. You could test out colours & clothing combinations. The code is already there - might as well re-use it.

It always sounds a good idea at first but don't expect much support on that idea. A lot of the time you'd end up with someone coming to you asking for specific items in specific colours and that would reduce the tailor client interaction.

One simple compromise would be if you had a holo generator that only a tailor colour use to display items or full outfits. You discuss it with the customer and eventually make the items once a decision has been reached. The good thing about this is that it could be used as a manikin too, setup a couple around your shop displaying an outfit and there you go.

You wouldnt even have to make the manikins detailed, make them like real life manikins where there just basicaly a body with little face detail.... to save on lag and code.

Back in my tailor days, I made flesh toned tactical skinsuits to display the exotic leotard and revealing fleshwrap.Justdropped the suit and the leotardin the same placeand it looked like a headlessmanaquin. Shoes and gloves didnt work, but it stilllooked really nice and I got a lot of compliments. I also tried one with a metal bikini and a bikini leggings, but it really didnt work well either, it was too jittery. Real Manaquins would be agreat shop feature. People loved my "manaquins" and sales of those items did actually increase after putting those manaquins down, on both sides of my vendor. It really made the leotard and fleshwrap stand out from the rest of my display clothes.
