Not exactly a Fashion Show, but I participated in a fun little event a few weeks ago.
This female Twilek had the audacity to claim she was hotter than this Ithorian friend of mine. well, they decided to have a walk-off (sort of like the thing in Zoolander that David Bowie judged, if you've ever seen that movie).
They had 3 events (Formal Wear, Swim Wear, and Casual Wear). Each of the 2 competitors brought 3 judges with them, and their best outfits. My Ithorian buddy had me make him 3 outfits for the event, and also asked me tobe a judge. Everyone met at the Theed Theatre. The 6 judges grouped together to discuss things as a group. and the competitors went backstage to get dressed. A musician was on hand for entertainment, as well as a fairly large audience. As each competitor went on stage, they used their best dance moves to show off.
Each judge gave each competitor a score between 1 and 10 on each outfit, kept the numbers secret, and at the end we added up the judges scores and announced the winner. I then created 2 sets of dice named as if they were tropheys for the event.
On top of this being a really fun event for everyone involved, it was also great advertisement for my Tailoring business since my Ithorian buddy (who won the competition by the way) let everyone know that I made all this clothes, and after the event i ended up taking care of a few orders there on the spot.

Not Fashion Shows, exactly...but this might help.
Thanks for that link! I've been wanting to do a fashion show in my city, but I honestly haven't had the time to get it organized. I'd love to do a wedding showcase. ![]()

I have done many successful fashion shows... here are some keys to make it run smooth
- Get your models ahead of time. 3 to 5 girls and 3 to 5 guys.
- I used categories and separated the outfits into containers for them.
- Make sure the colors compliment the model.
- I made up macrosto breifly describe each outfit
- Have a dress rehearsal before the real event, go through the entire thing and fix things.
- You can have the model start with a jacket and remove it to show whats underneath
- use props such as guns, staffs, sparklers (but not in excess) and have the models use special moves that they have or emotes.
- Use group chat to communicate with your models
- Get a band together for music
Just make sure you're organized and have dependable models.
We did a huge one outside the theatre in Cnet, I have also done them in cantinas.

Thank you and good idea with the models. I am going to try and have the tailors bring their own model's. I do have a place where people can sign up to be a model, so noone is left out who wants to be in it, but have the tailors all bring their own models and do their own dress rehersal. Because I think that would be the biggest set back is lack of models and them not knowing what to do. I am thinking the outdoor theatre on Vereni Island (sp) is a good spot for the show.
