Thread: Now that missions pay less, and are farther away will you lower your prices?
So many people stated ease of making money from missions as a reason for inflating their prices, I was just wondering now that this has been "nerfed" will you be dropping your prices accordingly?
How about Armor Smiths?
Weapon Smiths?
What do you think?
I sell my master stuff for 10-15k, they arnt going to go lower.
I think people should pay higher prices for elite clothes, if we make them cheaper they wouldnt have the same neatness about them.
I went out and tried the new mission types last night and ended up makingmore thanthree times what I make in an evening of tailoring... and that's only at tier IV marksman! A weapon specialist at the same level as I am in tailoring could easily clear2-10 times as much.
In essence, it's costing me 2/3 of my potential income to sit around making clothes for other players when I could be out running missions for payouts only slightly less bloated than they used to be.
I'm torn between increasing my prices to reflect economic reality and just closing up shop and letting the fighters go naked while I get my share of the fat mission pie. If the incentive to craft is so much lower than the incentive to fight, why bother?
It's not our prices that are inflated. It's your expectations.

Because you're not crafting to make the most money the fastest... you're crafting to craft. If you don't like crafting for its own sake then indeed, why bother?

I play the game to do what I enjoy, which happens to be making things... and I confess with some reluctance, I prefer to make PRETTY things (point, laugh and snicker if you must, but it's true. I love colors and textures).
But other players are doing what they enjoy too - pointing their boomsticks at animals and people and making them fall down dead - and they're getting compensated at a much, MUCH greater rate than I am for what I enjoy doing.
Until that essential inequity is addressed, I shall continue to charge as much as I can possibly get. I love crafting, but providing welfare for the rich is not my bag, baby.
