I may be one of the few tailors who DOES NOT WANT factory made BE componants for cloth.

I think these items SHOULD be kept rare and only avialable in certain items.

For one, lower level tailors can add these componants to their items without have to be Master Tailor which helps them make money.

If you start mass producing these items then it lowers the cost of them significantly and no one would ever buy any clothes without the BE componants.

You need a good mix of BE and non-BE clothing. There is actually alot you can do with this if you stop and figure out all the possibilties.

I just don't want the BE clothing to overshadow the rest of our profession or make other items of clothing obsolete. That's just putting the money into the BE's pockets.

The way it is now, the high end items cannot have BE componants and I think that's good as it forces the consumer to shop around and buy a variety of items.

I have mixed feelings about this. As a tailor I am terrified at the amount of work its going to cause, and grief from people not wanting items without stats, or unwilling to pay what a non-enhanced item is worth.

As a consumer I of course would love a Flightsuit with +bleed defence, camo etc.

I think it will be good for bio-engineers to have another market for there goods. We get to sell cloth and panels to armorcrafters and architects, they have components for chef's and tailors. We get to factory make our items, they do not. In the end if they can factory make there items it will just force us to change our approach.

It could benifit us though. Our customers will want whole new sets of enhanced gear, and this gear will of course cost more since we have to pay for components. If marketed correctly it could be worth the effort. I worry about artisan's and novice tailors who dont have much cash for the components, since they will have to work even harder to sell there goods. Already there is a huge price war going on in flurry, and guilded tailors are selling things well below what folks like myself who are independant can afford to.

In the end I think bio-engineers deserve the opportunity to make money and have something to sell besides just pets. This would make there class have income like we do from selling panels/cloth, and help out players by getting high quality gear. Hopefully the damage wont be dirt cheap non-enhanced clothing at the bazaar.

On the other hand, I think at least letting the BE's make crates is even more important now with the housing item limits. The majority of items keeping me over the limit are not crates, it's the bags full of BE components. Not to mention it's a pain for the BE's. I get all my components from a friend, and to meet the demand I have, he will literally spend hours at my house crafting the components by handto get me through the week. He already spends hours scraping together the variety of materials he needs, doesn't seem fair he has to put in even more hours to make something every other class can do with a factory.

Just a note for you folks..

Bio Engineered Clothing right now does nothing. Nada. Zero. Not a gosh darn thing.

All skill mods attached towearable itemsright now are completely broken and 100% ineffective. This includes bio engineer components and all skill enhancing attachments.

And not to be rude, but you're saying "well we need to make money, the hell with the bio engineers" Also the way you're saying it is that once you hitmaster tailor you shouldn't make all your best stuff because it would hurt the lower tailors.

C'mon now. Half of Bio Engineered creatures are broken and untamable, their skill enhancements don't work, do you think they're actually earning more money than you? For my time as a Bio Engineer I was lucky to break even at the end of the day. Most of the day was spent crafting (without a factory) or apologizing to customers that "no sorry, I can't sell you that because that item is broken right now I'll let you know if Sony fixes it" So yeah god forbid you "put money into the BE's pockets"

Before we knew these things were broken, I had a good business relationship with a few tailors I had gotten to know, I'd sit in their shops and grind craft away to produce items for their clothing. Both of them said for the period that we all thought those items might have been working, they were getting twice as many orders a day.

But it looks like you've done a fine just of making sure any BEs on your server don't do business with you

Tailor/Bio-engineer here.

WE know the enhancements are broken. But they'll be fixed in the near future, so no harm, no foul.

I enjoyed not having BE components be factory-made. It was a boon for tailors AND bio-engineers without the PA backing or industrial infrastructure to run multiple factories. Changing that shifts the balance of power back solidly to crafters who are heavily subsidized by adventurers, and who can afford to charge below market rates without worrying about maintenance costs.

My disappointment would be mitigated if they would get rid of the last vestages of the failed Industrialist system; factory identical component requirements. These are the bane of crafters who don't have the funding or desire to buy, maintain and operate their own personal industrial base. On my server, I've only located one supplier of factory synthetic cloth (and no suppliers of reinforced panels), and he rightly charges a premium for his monopoly, on top of the extravagant spaceship fare to get to his outlet.

In short, the issue isn't about taking bread out the mouths of the bioengineers, it's about preserving a market space for the non-industrial artisan. In all of the history of human fashion, there have beenvirtually no garments that could not be produced with some simple tools, a big pile of wool, cotton or silk, and a good amount of time to kill. I'd like to see that in the game.

I didn'tmean to slam or say anythingnegative about bio-engineers at all. I pay well for their services and help them gather materials to make the componants. I am sorry if it sounded like I was in some way bashing the BE's which was not my intention at all.

I just don't want to de-value their service or our own.

You can put the BE items in a pack and put in your vendor for storage.

Technically speaking, that would be an exploit.

With all the inventory / stockroom bugs ... no way Jose! I lose more items due to stockroom poofing than any other bug in the game.
