Hi All.

Not sure if this was ever mentioned before but thought I would post.

A lot times people don't know all the colors that are available to you. There are just so many shades for them to choose from. So, I was wondering if once you reached Master Tailor, you can go and purchase a wall hanging maybe made by master artisan or architect. This hanging would be a color palette that same as the master tailor has. I say master tailor so all the colors are available to see. They can be dropped in their shop and it would hang like a military pack does. Customers could look at it and see the varies colors they can choose from. How would they select? Not sure. Maybe number the colors or just have them tell you...second row, 5th one across.

I am not sure if this is possible or how hard it would be to put into game. I just thought it would be nice to have others who come to you with custom orders be able to view all the colors you have available.

Any thoughts? Could this be a possiblility?

This won't work since the rows and colums change depending on how large you have your crafting screen.

Would be nice if they ordered is stacked instead of run together, so you could say 'middle of the 2nd blue range' or something. You can do that now, but it can get tricky.

Really wish they'd add in a clothing browser type thing. A drop down of all the clothing the tailor can make, display it onan NPC which can toggle from male to female and make colors all changeable. Then have it set to email the complete order to the tailor once the user has found the look they want.

Well, we can work around the numbering issue, as each run of a color in the cloth palette has 7 shades, each run or expanded leather has 4 shades, the metals have I think 10 or 11, and so on.

What I'd love to see is a consensus on these runs, as I have a pretty severe green-brown hue-blindness. I can pick out red and magenta and yellow and purple pretty well (I just have tailoring 1 right now), but there's four runs in cloth that all look somewhere between brown and olive to me (including the green line), though one of these runs also mixes with the three orange-like runs I have so far. For a while (Domestics 3) I thought I had 'mustard' nailed down, but it and orange and ochre have all got me confused again.

So, if anyone can help or point me to a color chart (hmm.. maybe taking screen shots of the charts, then pulling the RGBs from an art program...) that would really be helpful.

They either need to go with some kind of holoprojector as was mentioned here in the past - so that we don't HAVE to have so much stuff on display (hint: they want to limit items - getting this developed would be a win/win for us and the devs) as well as either names, or numbers on the colors - just a mouseover on the palette would do with a name or reference number if nothing else. Leta customer play with both styles and colors - then have the thing generate an 'order' to the tailor owner with the exact stylename and color combo. If you really wanna go all out - have the projector grab a visual copy of the customer using it so they know exactly what something will look like on - and use that for the manikin. That would be too incredibly awesome for words. Something freestanding would work - or even a changing booth that the customer entered - and perhaps saw their image in a 'mirror'.

Marking items with their colors referrencing this palette would be wonderful - but may take up more fields and dataspace, although if they autostuck it in the title - that line is already there.

I've toyed with the idea of screenshots and a webpage, but by the time the screenshot, graphic program and web mangled it - the colors likely wouldn't be anywhere near true - and therefore pretty worthless.

Having a holoprojector let customers select and auto-order clothing is an awesome idea, Wire. Anything that does away with the following is a good thing. (Note: this ended up being longer than I expected. Yee.)

(Customer enters store while I'm crafting some items with which to restock my vendor.)

Customer: "I'd like to buy a shirt."

Me: "Sure thing, what kind would you like?"

Customer: "Something with long sleeves."

Me: "Well, I have quite a few to choose from...is there a certain look you're going for?"

Customer: "I want something that looks good."

Me: "Holy crap, really? You're kinda like a genius!"

(Then I backspace all that 'cause I don't want to offend Customer and lose the sale.)

Me: "How about a trim lined shirt like the one I'm wearing?"

Customer: "That looks good, I guess."

Me: "What color would you like?"

Customer: "Hmm..."

(Long pause. Just as I'm about to return to crafting items for my vendor....)

Customer: "Orange with blue trim."

Me: "Well, the palette is broken, so I don't really have a good orange, and I can't adjust the trim color, it's always black."

Customer: "Oh. Well, do you have anything like orange?"

Me: "I have a kinda orangey-yellow color...want me to make you one so you can see it for yourself?"

Customer: "Sure."

(I start crafting. While I'm doing this, someone else walks in and buys like everything off my vendor. Guess I'll have to restock even more in a minute.)

Me: "Here, try this on."

(I trade. Inexplicably, the trade window closes. I trade again and this time it works.)

Customer: "Ugh, no way."

Me: "Okay, would you prefer a different color instead?"

Customer: "No, that's okay."

Me: "Alright, sorry I couldn't help ya."

(Customer leaves, I'm out a few components, and now I have to go restock my vendor again.)
