Howdy all. You folks are the experts, and NJ is clearly a dedicated correspondent, so I hope you'll pardon the intrusion if I posit a quick question to you.
Has there been any movement on the skill tapes not being able to be added to backpacks issue?
I know you guys have more pressing things to worry about, not the least of which is the socket nerf in general. I'm simply wondering if SOE has ever offered any comment on why backpacks have sockets but cannot accept skill tapes (at least, not through any means I've been able to find).
Any and all responses appreciated (even if it's simply "no"). Thanks muchly, and keep the faith.

As far as I know of, there has been no word from SOE that they are even pursuing this problem. I wouldn't expect a resolution anytime soon—unless that resolution is to remove all sockets from backpacks…

We are not even sure if backpacks were ever supposed to take skilltapes in the first place! There is a bug, but it is either that 1) skilltapes are able to be inserted into backpacks or 2) Backpacks are mistakenly showing sockets when they are not supposed to. Knowing the kind of responses we usually get when we get responses at all, am guessing it is 2).

Right now, that is item #20 in our top 20 list. We are trying to bring the Devs to task on this one, to let us know if it is just teasing us with sockets, or whether they actually have plans to fix it in the future, and if so WHEN!
