In keeping with learning new things about this profession, I went and won myself an auction for a Crafter's Apron. I learned at and suddenly I can make Chef's Aprons.
Cool.
My question is, do people actually buy them? If so, is this the exception to the rule where materials actually make a difference to clothing quality? And if so, should I throw in a couple of BE-Tissues into them to up their value, hence upping the price, too?
If this turns out to work for me, I'll go and pick up some more schematics. Otherwise, I hope I haven't wasted my money.
Thanks all,
Kaili

Oh god, that was stupid. Saw the "Chef Apron" in my datapad and assumed that that was the schematic I got.
I was obviously wrong.
Turns out that its for Tailors and Armorsmiths because it needs a Clothing and Armor crafting tool.
Sorry for the mistake,

A few points:
1. There is no armorsmith's apron/schematic I'm afraid, the apron that requires a clothing/armor crafting tool gives +Clothing Assembly/Experimentation. This is (sorry mate, bad luck for you) the least valuable of the schematics because the only people who would want this apron are tailors. They'll probably have made their own..
2. Resource quality has no effect on the end product.
3. I saw your price-check post on the Naritus trade forums, the prices the people are giving you there are far, far too low (for a chef's apron at least)
Don't forget they're biased, they want a lower price. Notice how one poster named a price then offered to buy one from you at that price?

Oh I forgot:
Most valuable Apron: Medicine
Second: Chef
Third: Architect
Least: Tailor
People do buy these, and for (quite honestly) stupidly high prices.
Throwing in BE tissues is always nice

Thanks again for the help!
Last question then: can you know more than 1 of these schematics at a time?

Yes you can learn all 4 types, they'll all show up as Crafter's Apron. You can tell them apart from the required ingredients.

yeah, on valcyn the med ones go for super high prices the first few went for multi millions.....i still sell the schmatics off my vendor...with no idea of what schmatic it actually is at 500k, cause people want the med ones +5 is a good deal, so they pay for it.

I have one of these crafter's aprons (architect) & don't see that I gain any extra experimentation pts when crafting. Sure, my stats show that I got an extra +5, but I don't see that when crafting. Is this bugged? If so, it makes these aprons worth nothing.

no it's not a bug you need +10 to gain 1 extra point of experimentation, and you max out at +20 (2 extra points) I had a weaponsmith come to my vendor to buy a +1 expeimentation tape and he told me he was at +23, I had to expalin to him he was wasting his time and money.

Thanks for clearing that up. I thought it might be something like that.
