Yesterday was great!
It was my first profitable day as a tailor. I hit master tailor Thursday night, but only sold 2 or 3 things here and there. Well Sunday night came, and I stopped by the Theed cantina, proudly wearing my "Master Tailor" tag. went there just to visit a dancer friend, and show off my profession tag to her. Well, i got overrun with clothing requests.
I sold over 60k worth of clothing there in the Theed cantina in about 2 hours or so.
One ithorian wanted some real hip musician threads. his name was something like Jazzy blues, so I made him some great outfits to make him look like a Blues Musician (god i love that newsboy hat).
Sold to creature taming BE clothing, and a few skirts to some dancers.
All in all, it was a great day. I was hoping to get some droid engineer grinding in, but hey, this was much better than that.

Congrats! I remember when I first hit master and wandered into the Theed cantina. Suddenly I heard someone shout "its really a tailor!" and I ended up making clothes and dancing for the rest of evening. It was one of the most fun nights I have had in the entire game!

Well, I figure that entertainers will be my #1 customer, since almost everyone else runs around in Composite armor like a Clone Trooper.
I think the Ithorian order was my favorite. First, he was in character the whole time roleplaying as an Ithorian Blues Musician, so he said stuff like he wanted some "hip threads" think he called me daddyo once too.
I love when they ask me to just make what i think would look good on them. The Blues musician ended up buying 3 full outfits from me because he was so pleased with what I made him.
on a side note, i was looking through the different items i can crafter, and where the hell do 400 units of hide go in a pair winged hotpants? those wings aren't THAT big!! Must be the Revenge of the Rangers
down with team hawtpants!!!

Entertainers never been my #1 customer since I refuse to craft for them...
No lies, I hate same prototype people. You say 'composite people' but entertainers no different :
Composite = Bikini + Revealing Skirt
Ubese = Leotard
3 millions a week a good number from non-entertainers...

congratz!
Then you are really lucky on Tatooine/Gorath business is really down for some reason...
Perhaps I should go to theed also for a time... to see if it gets better...
I always get "make me look cool"-requests.... mostly from entertainer newbies or from noobs.... /rolleyes

My alt is a tailor (What can I say, I have two accounts). He finally hit Master Tailor last week and I too walked into the Theed Cantina. Same result "OHHHHHHH! A Tailor!" from a half-dozen folks one after the other...
I walked out an hour later and 100k richer. I did only two sales. The first was an 'extremely revealing skirt' with maxed out dance/wound healing enhancements, plus a bustier and shoes. The second was a simple wrapped skirt, but it took me five attempts to get the colors *exactly* right (She didn't want to hand me her top, a 'loot' item' so I had to try several times).
The second sale also got me a marriage proposal, since no other tailors had even attempted to match the colors.
I took the 10k tip for the simple wrapped skirt and a raincheck on the proposal...
So, I'd definetely say that the Theed Cantina on a busy night is a 'rite of passage' for any new Master Tailor!

/examine her. You get better lighting for matching.

Congrats! It's a fun feeling to know that you might actually make this profession you love and have worked hard for, actually become solvent. Personally, if newbie tailor came to me and asked me for advice for selling, it would, do not even stock a vendor until you are master of your craft. There are very few people who want our items below that point.
Now, start chuggingaround to others shops and look for BE tissues when you can. Dont bet the home on them but get as many as you can at goof levels. If your on Starsider, I'll hook you up so quickly, you'll want to sing words of heavenly angels dancing around our heads.
Take care,
Janey
