I find these reports VERY interesting. This time, this report really brought home something about our playstyle.
A successful tailor, such as Allya, sells around 500 items in a month. However, if I remember correctly, Allya keeps over 2000 items in stock, and possibly 4000 (I just remember that Allya keeps a LOT of stock on hand!) This means that when we run a successful business we probably sell between 1/4 and 1/8 of our stock on hand every month. That leaves 2000ish items, at the end of the month, to restock.
Compare to an armorsmith. 100 suits of armor - gone. Next week, 100 suits of armor, gone. AT the end of the month, 500 suits sold, 0 suits remain.
In summary:
1) the current stock dropping system is punitive to tailors. Although it's meant to signal that things aren't selling, for us that is normal.
2) We need larger vendor limits to sell the same amount of goods. To sell 500 items, we need at least 2000 stock limit. To sell 500 items, the armorsmith needs maybe 100 and a willingness to restock.

I absolutely agree! I can't think of any other profession that needs as much vendor space as we do just because of our sheer variety. Droid engineers need a lot of space too, but nothing like we can use up. Also, because our products take up so much space and sell for so little we really have no other choice but to handle our own products. No profession merchant would really want to touch fashion clothing because it has so little return.
One thing I noticed in this sales report is that non-fashion items (components, BE clothes, loot) were around 60% of sales! Furthermore 20% of sales were from loot and that was only 30 items.

Well the BE vendor also has my Star Wars themed sets, which bring in a lot of money. It is kinda sad that most of the credits do not come from plainclothing items. As far as the loot vendors go, I've made lots of money buying things cheap of the bazaar and marking up the prices.

Ahh... I see. At least regular clothing is selling! I still make quite a few regular clothing sales, but I really need to put a regular clothing vendor up outside of Kaadara. Right now my vendor is practically for imperials only just because of its location and the fact that so many stormtroopers spawn near my shop that I often find them walking around inside!
