Thread: Can Master Tailors now make Jet Black Long Uniform Jackets since JTL came out?

I am under the understanding now that Master Tailors can now make Jet Black (not the greenish blacks they normally make) In the Long Uniform Jacket, which is basically the Imperial NPC uniform for officers. Can someone confirm if they can now make black long uniform jackets because before JTL you could never make them. I am hearing rumors that now you can. Can someone please confirm or deny this with proof?

The good news:

There are nowthree choices of black (light, medium, and dark) for the long formal jacket (the Imperial jacket).

The bad news:

Last time I madea black long formal jacket the default gray color wasvisible around the belt of the jacket. I noticed the same problem with the NPC Imperial Pilot Trainer's uniformin Kaadara. *sighs*

The utter confusion:

I'm not sure what the 'greenish black' color is, sounds likeit's yourmonitor to me.

The long formal jacket does not have the same palette as the dress slacks. There are three black choices for the jacket compared to the two standard paletteblack options of the dress slacks.

The dress slacks blacks do not match the jacket blacks. This is whya lot of usasked for a universal color palette.

The NPC Imperials are not wearing dress slacks, their pants are a different style which we do not have access to. Also, the NPC's are wearing high quality boots in a darker shade of black than what we have.

I don't see green with the standard blacks, they do look washed out compared to the long formal jacket blacks though. Thus your monitor settings are leaning more towards green than mine are.

Ok I have in my possesion a loot Jet Black Long Uniform Jacket. Now this is exactly the same jacket that Pilot Imperial NPCS wear which is the same color as the Tie Pilot jet black outfit. Is this exactly the same item that can be made by tailors now in the exact color? I know that I had a pair of black dress slacks made in black and the colors CLEARLY are not the same rich black that the looted jet black uniform jacket I have are. So when its said it must be my monitor, I dont think that is the case because tailors have never made TRUE JET BLACK clothing, its always been kinda a greenish black tint is what I am talking about. Its clear you can hold up a pair of black pants or anything tailor made, and hold it up to a black tie uniform and clearly see the tailor made black color is totally washed with a green tint.

Something to remember,

we actually have 2 blacks in the full color pallette.

One matches the leather black a bit more

then the other

which matches the metal black.

For us it is not JUST color that changes the look of an item,

the unlaying texture of what cloth it is suppossed to be made from carries a huge impact.

(would love to have the choice to pick ourselves between> wool, cotton, leather, silk, mylar{ith shine), and lycra<

to have that abilty would more then be a dream revamp for me, imagine the choices then)

Eh I think one of the blacks in the full palette looks kind of green. I wish we had the black from the long uniform jacket in there...it definitely looks darker than anything in the full palette.

What I get a kick out of is that Imperial Recruiters are wearing the long uniform jacket, some baggy pants (baggy out the sides), and high quality boots. The high quality boots are black black black, and the best a tailor can do is dark grey.

Blah, why can't everything beall thecolors?

Since black is more then likely the most popular color I think they should improve the shades they have, and sort out those "yeah kinda looks black" colors.
