I found a formal jacket last night that has +1 to clothing customization (all hail the stupidity of high end loot drops!). It's socketed, so I'm assuming that the bonus is coming from it already being socketed with a powerup gem. ... But I can't figure out how to remove the powerup to add it to another piece of clothing (someone said this was possible earlier). Can this be done? If no options come up on the radial menu, does this mean the jacket inherently has this bonus rather than from socketing? Is that even possible? Am I making any sense here?

dont think you can remove it. once its there, it stays there.

Since I've never actually found a gem and thus never actually socketed a clothing item I have no idea if you can remove it either.

But I always assumed that is works like Diablo 2 socketed items... once it's in it stays in and can't be removed again.

Not much help, I know.

I have the opposite problem.. I have a skill enhancement Jewel or whatever they end up being called, and I can't put it into a piece of clothing. I doubt you will be able to retrieve the gem though.

It could also be a Bio Engineer combine on that jacket as well that is giving it its ability, right?

Is there a BE cloth that gives a bonus to customization? That would explain where the rest of the colors went...
