I don't have anything in the hoppers of the little buggers,

but, all my tools won't open up so I can craft anymore,

has this happened to anyone else, and if so what did you do to fix it?

I had a case where it kept telling me I already had a crafting session in progress -- I had been crafting prior to a server crash and it must have dumped me in the middle of crafting...

I just logged out and back in and it cleared up

Logging cleared it up for me also.

I recall having this problem in beta, it usually happened when the crafting session was canceled due to combat. Is that what might be going on?

ArjunThakur, that only works if a prototype is stuck in the output hopper. Sometimes tools get bugged in other ways. In some cases, the game thinks that a tool is open even when no crafting windows are open. Other times it just says that it failed to open the crafting station (and will continue to say that for all of your tools even if you obtain new ones). There's also another bug where tools get jammed and have to be destroyed. This happens when the server comes down while your tool is in the process of making a prototype. When the server comes back up, your tool has a number in the upper right-hand corner that never goes down. When this happens your tool and the prototype are lost forever.

The "Failed to open crafting station" bugs are old bugs from beta that still haven't been cleared up. The only way to fixthem is to sit down, /logout (don't /quit out) and wait a few minutes. When you come back your tools should be working again. If they aren't, log out and wait some more. On one occasion I had to wait offline for 15 minutes; logging out and coming back in immediately didn't do a thing.
