i have already sent an email to the dev. and i dont want to annoy them by sending the same email over and over...

but ...

we need WAY more options in clothing... like catsuits, clubware, some goth outfits would also be really nice, as well as some add-ons like stockings, high heels, whatever...

Imean at this point i just dont want to look like a 80'sgoo goo dancer or a moo-moo wearing shut in.

also there should be a higher level skill that could improve and modify existing clothing( like adding azebra skin trim to an all purple suit would be at least funny or example number 2/ addingjewels and gold trim to all black leather gloves would be a nice touch. but if u wanted to look like u swim in money adding large amounts of rare stones and titanium trim would be ur choice.)

there should be options to make improve all the lines of clothing not just make generic gown or combat pants one. A greater varitiy would come from the ability to alter the cuts, colors, patterns, trim, and other aspects of the existing clothing.

so plz write to them demanding more options and the ability to alter clothing...

i wrote this in a hurry so sorry if its unclear...

I suggested something similar, that being to apply different shaders and to modify parameters of the shaders, because I want my AO rubber catsuit back Overlay patterns would be nice too. Maybe predefined bitmap ones and some parametric (fractral) pattern generators.

im sorry that isnt enough for me...

even camo has to have more options... like having 5 different patterns for each jungle, urban, desert, night, forest, and mountain, just to start.

but the varity of clothing in SWG is not enough for me and it should not be for any of u...

there is only one style of necklace in the whole game? and there is no option to have a diamond necklace or a silver necklace with a moon shaped ruby? or what about pink laceleg stockings with a red heart on calf.

what a about a bloodred cloak with large blood red sholder armor pads withgold trim. why that wouldlook great on a character trying to be an evil agent of the empire.

ilove to role play my characters but it kills me whenmy character looks like everyone else. or worst yet looks ugly.

why is it that when i get a dress from the bazarr that the material can expand like a moo moo but cannot be given a slit along the right -side. when was the last time u saw a anyone go to a club( cantina) with a dress that did not have a silt

I should only be limited by my imagination not bylack of content... sorry if i offend anyone or if the post is slightly unreadable

I think the problem here is really practicality. I've certainly never seen an MMORPG with Galaxies' level of clothing customization. Do I think all of the designs are top notch? Not particulalry. There are plenty of longsleeve shirts and pants that just look far too much alike, and I feel like there aren't enough styles of open jackets. But, there are a LOT of options. Remember that each piece of clothing that loads on your screen is using some memory, and the more options there are, the more memory it will take. A lot of people lag in towns now... think of how bad that would be if everybody was wearing 8 pieces of clothing that all took twice as much memory as is now used. I would love more clothing options, but not at the expense of playability.

i am not talking about wearing massamounts of clothing. I certainly dont want to wear 10 shirts or 2 pairs of pants, nor did i say that merging different clothing was my solution to this. What iwantare some greateroptions that are better than the current gowns or being forced to wear a soft undershirt and short shorts. A greater diversity is needed. After all if you are going to spend computer power and money( the all-mighty subscribtion)to see a shirt, dress, or pair of slacks, you might as well enjoy what you are looking at.

You might as well enjoy what you are looking at. Remember that since many dancers andmusicians,a presence of good looks and unqiueness thatis sometimes required for professions that depends on player enjoyment.

Also tailors will soon need to learn that the availablities of clothing options will and can only help them in the long run. What I had stated above, just to recap my arguement in my previous post, is that the introducton of a skill called modify clothing only available to tailors. If nonew content where to ever come out or if the new content were sub-par.This ability to alter the clothing wouldexistpurely to for style, not substance.

After all, why have a million credits when u can looklike a million credits.

To address lag,

The lag problem that is found, atleast in my opinion,in the larger cities is often due to themassive huge amounts of pixels used by skyscrapers, like in Naboo's capital cities. I used to have the same problem with lag and disconnects until i moved out to player ownedtowns.

I hope, i could clear up any misconceptions.

I would agree that we definitely need more options for clothing besides color. I think theadding a style feature to the piece of clothing would help. Like you make a casual shirt, pick from these "x" number of styles for the shirt, and then choose a color. In the real world there is not just one style of long-sleve dress shirt, there are many depending on collar type, material used, etc. Why not here?

They do somthing similar with creating a character - pick a hair style and then a color. You don't just get hair and choose the color, you choose a style and a color.

Even if the styles are fixed for each piece of clothing that would add a whole lot more variety to the casual shirt than just color. You could even base the number of styles available on experimentation points spent and success in item creation. That would allow for more than just durability experimentation since currently clothing does not decay.

Just some random thoughts on making clothing a little more unique.

Using colors I can create unique looks.. I am very glad that some tailors suck at that. Otherwise my clients would go to anyone. Clients come back to me because they know that I am clever with colors and mixing and matching artisan level and Novice level items too.

That being said there has to be a way to get or create UNIQUE schematics. I am not sure from a gameplay point of view if this is even possible but that way a Tailor can make a truley unique thing. Man it would be cool to acutally do what was suggested and by using a particular resource or even a new component ,

Scissors:

10 Metal
5 Metal

Add that as an optional component to adress and BOOM a dress with a slit. Or something like that.. help us out devs.. By the time we all reach master level we are all making the same **edit** thing. Rare Schematics, new optional components that change the existing outcome. Maybe those optional component schematics are the rare find. I dunno. Im just thinking out loud here.

OO unless they add new schematics in an expansion. That would be super duper.

I'd really like to see clothing with more patterns applied too them. I can only think of a few items in game that aren't solid colors or solid colors with different colored trim. I'm not asking for plaid, but some stripes (and not just down the side) or flowers or other multi-colored patterns would be nice.

Also being able to set the highlight/lowlight color on more items would be great. You can do this on the uniform boots (though it only shows up in certain color combinations) and I think it looks great. It's a popular technique through out the history of costume design (different thread colors running in opposition on the loom)and an easy way to give more visual interest to the existing clothes.
