Thread: Any tailors Know about Bio-enhanced clothing??
hello,
i posted this on the bio boards but i figured i would ask here, casue a few bio's that i talked to in game are just as confused as i am,...
i have a few Q's about the clothing enhancements.
1, id like to get some clothing, what kind does it go into. Can i put it in say reinforced camo pants, boots, jacket, gloves, belts?
2. how do i get it in there, Does it go in in slots or does it have to be crafted in?
3. How many can i put in each peice.
4. say i put the same type in my pants and jacket do they stack?
Basically id like some bio enhanced clothing. I want the mask sent and cover put in. Im a crafter and i want the gear to help save my butt when im out doing harvester runs. Im droping my pistol and taking up a rifle to use cover shot. while my peko peko hopefully does most of the work when i find my harvesters camped by some nasty critters or maulers. Any help would be greatly apprecatied.
thanks

There are a ton of posts about it in these forums you can do a search for the specifics. I also felt confused by these info tidbits because i did nto undersand the BASICS which i will explain to you.
There are a bunch of BE created THINGIES. They have names like "Mioflex" or "constrictor cloth". Each of these THINGIES go into a specific compeonent. Meaning BIO THINGY "A" only goes into "Re-enforced Fibre Panels" and BIO THINGY "B" only goes into "Synth Cloth". So you find out which THINGY you want cause each one features a different boost (you can find that IN MANY posts on this forum).
So you bring the THINGY to a tailor and they put it into the specific COMPONENT, lets say for examply SYNTH CLOTH. Well synth cloth only goes into X amount of items so you can put that Enhanced synth cloth only in things that use synth cloth!! Also NO they don't stack so putting 2 advanced synth cloths in one shirt will not equal double the enhance. So that means either A) The tailor can use 2 adv factory made syn cloths so they can put it in ANY clothing that can use synth cloth, but the second synth cloth will just do nothing or B) You can only put it in clothing with 1 synt cloth requirement. Does that makes sence? Certain clothing items take 1 SYNT others can have 2 identical ones but you wont get the stats from one of them, as in you can't double it.
You can't have more then +25 anything no matter how many different peices of clothing you wear with the same enhance. In the sticky threads at the top there is a list of tailor website and they have lists of what clothing can take which enhancments. I hope this makes sence.
acually yes that makes perfect since, Im an armorer and novice tailor soo i get the jist. Now you said that some goes into synth cloth, hmmmm i wonder if those enhanced cloths will work in armor. Do you have anyidea which ones go in what or know wear i can find them? Maybe i could have my frined make one of each and ill give um all a shot : )
Thanks for the help, greatly apprecatied
I have been telling people about the +25 cap, but I don't remember seeing how this was determined. I made an outfit for someone yesterday which when worn showed much more than a +25 boost (one stat was above +40). Can someone point me to the thread where this was tested so I can explain it?

there is a sticky thread here that links to tailor website. Many of them took the time to put up which goes in which so I would visit those. Zephyr has a good one to its here somewere.
I dunno about armor.. never heard of anyone doing it. If it takes Synthcloth or re-enfroced fibre planels i guess maybe so.
well then maybe there isnt a cap! I dunno
I read it here somewere. DONT BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ> lol
i dunno!
*looks down at the next 20 or so posts below this one, almost all of which deal with BE clothing*
oh my!
