Thread: Looking at people with /exa is it just me?

Like most of you, I'm sure, when I want to get a really good look at a person's outfit, I use /exa to see it.

But when I do, the person's exquipped weapon, if any, always "shimmers." Blinking in and out. It's a fairly minor annoyance as these things go, but a real one. Does this happen to everybody, or is it some peculiarity of my specific graphics setup?

I haven't seen a shimmer or flicker myself. Whats your video card?

Mine does that too. It is an annoyance. I've got anATI RADEON 9800 PRO 256MB 8x AGP w/DVI & S-Video

Mine's a... dangit, can never remember this stuff off the top of my head, but I think it's either a GeForce 5600 or 5800. I've had this particular effect forever, but it doesn't happen in the similar "inventory view" or the character selection screen, or anywhere else - just in /exa windows.

I think I get the same thing you're talking about. The person's weapon will pop in and out of existence. Sometimes it seems to be fighting with their clothing (if they're wearing a skirt, cloak or duster) and sometimes it seems to be "blocked" by their body, in a strange error of order. If I'm looking at their right side, their weapon may suddenly seem to pop to their left hand for a moment.

I'm using a GeForce 3 Ti 200 video card (yeah, yeah, I want an upgrade... but... /sigh)
