Thread: Until we get an answer about sockets, has your business changed?

Mine has, a bit. I only make BE clothes for my vendor. My old price scheme was very simple: 5k for the clothing, 5k for each tissue on it. Now, I've had to adjust the clothing/crafting cost by socket numbers. This is what I came up with.

My new pricing scale goes like this:

0 sockets: I don't sell them

1 socket: 2500

2 sockets: 4000

3 sockets: 5000

4 sockets: 10000

So a new +4/+16 Melee/Stun Defense shirt with 4 sockets would run a customer 15k. A 2 socket one would run 9k.

I'll let you know how this works out. I just couldn't go a whole weekend (my busiest time) without having stock to sell. It should also give me an idea of how important having 4 sockets really is to my customers.

i just havent found that people buy anything because it has 2 sockets or 4 sockets....this seems to only be an issue with armor attachments.....

unless i actually add a skill tape onto the garment it has never seemed to have effected the desireability....

The majority of my business is selling BE-enhanced shirts. Many of these go to combat players. When a combat player can only use two pieces of clothing while wearing their armor, I've found they tend to pay very close attention to the number of sockets that BE shirt has.

Areed.

Most of the BE clothing I sell goes to combat classplayers too, so i'm mainly making bandoliers and undershirts -things which can be worn with full sets of armor. If these guys want touse some combatclothingSEA's, then they're going tobe putting these SEA'sinto theBE clothing. So socketingis very important when it comes toBio-clothing, less importantin regular clothes though.
